Would be nicer with white stitching for those of us who do not have a single orange colored bit in our interior. Great for Inferno owners. Out of place for all others IMO

I did the same thing before Toyota Canada released pricing for the 2016s.

Put down a deposit to reserve first shot at your specific vehicle, they wrote into the deposit if the pricing exceeded what I wanted to pay they would refund my deposit. Pretty straightforward really!

It's actually red, not orange. It's just the contrast of the picture.

I can, but would never spend the money for that truck. I understand it will be a high margin dealer addendum truck for a long time. So KUDOs to Toyota and their stockholders.

..Even if I had to have a 4x4 and went off road. From what I read here the respect goes to those who roll their own rather than buy a "me too" already finished.....but no truck is really ever finished,

I'm with you. Good truck done properly for those that want it. Jeep did a really great job when they introduced the rubicon. This isn't nearly as capable as a rubicon, but apples/oranges.

I would take that shift knob in all black.....There are bits and pieces I like on the Pro.

But Really I am not an off road rider anymore ( for the past 20 years) I Buy what I need and will use. That's why I have no interest in the Z06 Corvettes and actually prefer the MX5 to the Z51 as it is a whole lot more fun to drive legally.

While I think people will be paying $45K for the Pro when all is said and done. Personally I cannot wrap my head around even a $40K Tacoma. But that's just me. A truck is utilitarian for me as opposed to a source of entertainment. Like Off roading and Mudding. I still have to have a fun car or two.

Having a white truck there are some aesthetics bits I like and don't like.
No JBL is a deal breaker on any of these trucks. Some people like to build their trucks and their entertainment systems. I don't in either case.

So no JBL would be a deal breaker. Especially at $45K OTD My next $45K vehicle will be a Lexus RX......for the wife.

Since I'm on @TinkerBell's ignore list, I've always wondered if he can see the "what have you done to your 3rd gen thread?"

I actually feel like I'm driving a Lexus Truck. I went to refuel the other day and looked for the button to release the fuel door.

I guess functional can be a relative term....if the hood scoop is diverting air into the engine compartment, technically it's functioning in some way....:notsure:

for us tall people, the added tech without sunroof is a plus. I wanted the tech package, but i can't fit in the tacoma with a sunroof without my head touching the roof.

I'm sure all the parts will be available to purchase a la carte. So it would not be difficult to build your own TRD-P from a TRD-OR. The only things that you could not emulate is the hood scoop, stitched logo seats, and the Cement color. Otherwise all the exterior cosmetic stuff, suspension, skid could easily be added later.

The"hobby" for some people is the actual build. I am reminded of this with the Corvette. A lot of guys spend a couple grand on lifts for their garage to putter around adding and fixing stuff. (GM Service is a good reason to install a lift and buy some tools)

But waxing and customizing IS the hobby. Driving not so much which is why (Like Harley Davidson) there are oodles of used low mile well maintained Corvettes, which kills the resale of those who actually drive theirs again like Harley.

There HAs to be a lot of guys who build their perfect Off Road vehicles who don't dare go off roading lest they scratch their beauty up and fill their bearings with mud..

Yeah i think the hood scoop is the same as it has been...if there was some kind of performance gain we would have heard about it on now. Think it was just a typo on the kbb article. It's the same hood scoop with the sticker on it which i actually don't think it looks that bad. I think it goes well with the cement exterior. It did however look silly on the sport we saw a while back.

It was on facebook...you may need to have an account in order to view it, at least that is where I saw it from. just need to scroll down a little bit.

Just FYI, the interview wasn't that great. All they talked about was basically only cosmetics and partially about the suspension.

Nothing that any of us would want to hear. He was asked about a supercharger and basically just bypassed it or said there wasn't one available.

    Under the Radar
Does the new cement color have a blueish tint to it, or is more grey?

My question is, why did toyota make their TRDpro wheels 17? Really like last years, but wonder why they didn't do 16.

    2015-toyota-tundra-trd-pro-series-wheel-and-badge-photo-597434-s-1280x782.jpg

I guess because it doesn't really matter?

Aesthetics sell these kinds of factory built trucks. 17" wheels look better in this day and age 18" wheels even better to some. The tires do NOT look like capable off road tires. So they are marketing to those who like the aesthetics, not to those who want the absolute best off roading rig they can get.
