I want to test a STi, the wrx was quick, and was more refined it felt even though it was abse model. The evo was a brute. But it was a fast brute, no frills but definately would be the car I picked if it was only for a track car. Too rough to daily though.

I'd like to test an STi as well to compare. STi power can be achieved pretty easily with some simple bolt-ons but the STi tranny is the big selling point for me. It will take the abuse much better than the WRX 5 speed will.

I can't speak for the Evo because my only experience with one is my friends built Evo 10 which made 480 on a mustang dyno, built for 700whp on e85  Thing is a fucking brute indeed.

I'd love to test drive one in stock form and see how it feels compared to the Subaru flat 4.

Really? I'm suprised to here you say you wish for the STI over the WRX. My impressions are the WRX makes a much better DD as its a nicer all around ride and not as high strung as the STI. More liveable i guess..

Thats what I've heard, but the transmission is so much better. The one i drove was a gsr, so 5 speed but base package, but it was a rough ride. |Its definately faster, harder on the acceleration, but the ride is so rough and the recaro seats are not very comfy.

I only say that cause if I ever found my self in a scenario where i had to rebuild the motor, i'd want to be able to beef everything up a bit and make some more power. But the WRX tranny would definitely put a cap on power levels and i wouldnt want to be riding that fine line. I'd rather have a tranny that will handle 6-700hp and be able to comfortably build the car to make some more power.

Yeah the WRX 5 speed is not a terrible tranny by any means, but the STi will handle about anything you throw at it though, within reason of course. I was actually surpised that the Evo's come stock with those seats. My friends seats are the stock Recaro's and they are certainly not the comfiest. I thought they were aftermarket.

It's an option. I'm just saying as a package though the STi is a reasonable deal. You get the tranny, Brembo's, diff control, and all the other goodies they come with basically on top of what you get with a WRX.

Why? He is a great dd. I love driving a tacoma every..time I have to drive.

I can't afford a sporty car. Insurance would be too much. And gas would cost more if it was boosted..which it would be. Can't haul hardly any audio gear in a small car either.

Only a FXT maybe. But too much money again to buy one up front.

I like Igor :) and Frank is too far gone for dd duty

Well when you hit it big in the audio industry you'll be able to have the sportiest of sports cars.

And enough left over for a mod fund for the Wyo crew :cookiemonster:
