Yeah this topic has been brought up several times in this thread so lets keep it civil lol.

 

Hahaha I've said it all before. I will say that his stuff does carry a very nice price tag, but you get what you pay for. How do the welds on yours look?

 

I definitely get what you're saying. I'm just super indecisive on which way to go. Like I said I've never bought tires for a vehicle before and I contradict myself a lot lol.

 

Just do what I did, find a tire that seems pretty good. Do enough research to narrow it down to 2-3 of them then buy the cheapest one. And just fucking buy them, don't think about it. That way, you're pretty much stuck with them.

 

Can I use regular circle washers for a CB drop? I can't find anywhere locally with square washers.

Think I had 1/2". If you need to go thick, sandwich a big nut between washers to fill gap faster. Don't remember what thread the bolts were when I put in longer ones.
I ended up taking it all back out after a few weeks. Improvement was slight and since I've still got warranty, didn't want that looking so ghetto on there.

 

Carrier bearing drop... you mean 1 piece driveshaft?

 

Gotcha. Yeah I have a pretty significant vibe at take off. I've read most people have kept the stock bolts. Do I need to change them?

Depends how thick you stack washers.
I think shim on axle seems to do better for take-off vibe.

 

I started taking some washers out, because i literally saw that i had too much in my cb drop.... i was under the truck behind the axle and from my angle, i could literally see the center of the drive shaft was too low from too many washers.

 

Anybody else have any input on this? That may be my solution. I was under the truck with a string to see how much I would need to drop the cb but its nearly flat. So I don't think this is the issue.

 

I'm gonna have to just pull the trigger whenever my money comes in lol. Did my taxes this morning. Still going with 255/80 st maxx right now since that was my first decision. MT's for next tire when it's paid off and can see more off road use
