Does that shift knob have orange or red detail?

Probably see alot of 2016 TRD and Sport knobs in buy/sell section in a few months for cheap:D

Perfect for me and my SR5. The dealer wants $100 for the 2016 OEM leather knob. (SR/SR5 is vinyl)

    To start with:
Large 2.5-in. TRD Bilstein shocks with remote (piggyback) reservoirs front & rear for increased oil capacity, cooling, and durability(1" higher than '16 oem or), Zinc finish with multi-layer coating for extreme surface durability, ZoneControlR technology integrates internal hydraulic bump stops into progressive 3-stage position sensitive compression control for extreme off-road demands, 60-mm. Digressive Pistons for improved ride comfort and more control at high speeds over rough terrain, Red TRD-tuned front Eibach coil springs with custom rates that are softer for a better ride both on- and off-road.

    Good info thanks.
You using the same rear springs that came on your '16? Does the front sit higher than the rear?
Where did you buy the shocks from?

Nobody ever complains about efficiency. Give the 3.5 a chance, as these engines / trans break in, and people learn how to drive them, you should see better numbers than the 4.0.

I think the numbers will be marginal at best. The truck still weighs pretty much the same, and has basically the same drag coefficient.

I think that's a big part of it, is 'learning' how to drive the vehicle to get the best fuel efficiency. I say this because my last vehicle had a CVT, and once I figured it out (Subaru Outback) I could easily get 30-32mpg roundtrip up to the mountains and back to go snowboarding in Colorado when I lived in Denver, or on a road trip from San Diego to San Francisco when I lived in SD. It's the same thing with the '16 Tacoma and just figuring out what it likes to get the most out of it.

I've already been able to get 25mpg out of my '16 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 on the freeway from San Jose to San Francisco.

It would be nice if there was an option for people who don't care about fuel economy, but nope.

Sure there is. Just go buy a Tundra, Raptor, Titan, etc.

Or just put the pedal to the floor every time you drive the truck. That's a guarantee that you'll get really bad fuel economy.

If all three of them weren't so ugly, I would.

So aesthetics take precedence over crappy fuel economy then? Be clear what you prefer! Ha!

I don't think you get where I'm coming from.

I love everything about the Tacoma, except that wimpy ass little 3.5 liter. I can't get past it, and that's the only reason there isn't one in my driveway right now.

So why are you on a Toyota 3rd Gen forum?! You enjoy spending your time on forums about a vehicle you don't like? Makes sense to me!

Pretty sure I have the right to weigh in with my opinion of this awesome new TRD PRO, that isn't really awesome at all.

I'm just saying, seems like there are a lot of guys who aren't shy about saying they don't like the 3rd Gen Tacoma, but seem to spend a lot of time here. Can't really figure than one out!
