Thats the backing plte for your upper shock bolt. Those should have nuts welded to them, correct? You mock up the shock in the upper mount so you can get the spacing correct and tack that in the top. Then pull the shock and weld it up fully.

Kind of a bad explanation, ill see if i can find a pic

Yea but I already have nut and plate welded to the tower, these are just loose in the box. I'm wondering if they meant to give me the solid top plates instead.

Btw it's on par with shackle flip. I hate using insufficient tools for a job like this but I made it work.

Got it set to ~4.9" up travel and shock body 7° forward instead of the 9°. Gonna throw on some primer tonight, paint in the morning, then it's ready to test.

Looks awesome. Wish I could say this went flawlessly, but, I measured wrong on the lower shock mounts somehow and ended up with 2.5" up travel :smack: I'm running stock length shackles without the top overload on the dakars so the plan is to order 4 3/4" shackles (already ordered) and re-install my top overload. That will get me 1.5" rake with no weight and up to 4" up travel. If I don't like the way it bumps from there I'm just going to redo the lower shock mounts. Always something.

Also, looks like it's going to be pretty damn close to rubbing that shock under compression, but we will see how much once I get this fixed.

I know I'm waiting to see that too, I'm redoing the lower shock tabs this Wednesday to get my up travel back to 5" since I screwed it up the first time. Then I'll get some pics in here of the rear flexing and let you know how much it rubs.

Well ended up helping a couple folks on my way home early from work due to the recent snow we just got. 1 car slid into a ditch, 1 4 wheeler slid into a ditch while scraping. When I was pulling the car out, I noticed my lights dimmed in my truck, so gave it some rpms and it stabilized. Got me a little worried though, it was only like a minute.

Guess that alternator and battery upgrade will be sooner than later. Will be hitting up @BAMATOY for the stage 2 kit and getting an interstate 31-agm7 battery in a couple of months.

Ugh, bad weather equals extra work which also means less time to play with the truck. Put in 50 hours this week already. Definitely getting the lower tabs re welded tomorrow night. Only posting pics for Johnny, lol.

Speaking of pics, like at what point is it cool to get out of the truck while your wheeling to take pictures? I'm either having too much fun to do that, or, I don't wheel with anyone haha. Hoping this gulches meet coming up someone gets a snap shot of my truck doing something besides sitting in my driveway with shit torn off it.

Other news, my low profile rear diff bolts from all pro arrived and new gears (4.56) and a rear locker going in next Friday, much awaited, much happy, much stoked.
