Oh, and giving up cruise for a windshield washer reservoir?

 

You'd need to do lot of wiring to put it in, its pretty integral. Unless you just have a dead actuator.

 

Nope, I had cruise on my 99 but didn't notice my 03 didn't have it til I was driving her home. SETX is mostly flat so cruise is nice to have on long trips

 

I was gonna remove it anyway whether or not I put a reservoir there. It drives worse than me, constantly keeping the throttle too far open for the speed it's maintaining and then dropping back down. That's just on flat roads, even the tiniest incline like you'd find on a mostly flat highway will cause it to go WOT. It's not worth trying to put up with, and I don't mind using my foot to maintain speed, it's just an old system newer cruise control would be worth keeping I'd imagine. Who knows I may leave it in, this is just a plan for the future, not set in stone.

EDIT: I'll likely leave it in until I regear just to see if it helps get rid of its bipolar behavior.

 

Won't work on an 03, you should have drive by wire and only need to add a stalk. I forget but there is a mod somewhere for adding CC to 03 and 04 models.

I have an older and bigger cruise control actuator but that still may fit, which model is that?

I think alot of that price is because there are cnc aluminum, not cast. But really for the price you can get there light bar that makes more lumens

Lol I meant the actuator, it only has one cable unlike our which has two.

 

Started working on making my swing out a dual swing out. I didn't like that much weight out on the end of that arm and I also couldn't open the back while hauling a trailer.



It also seems to have sturdied it up in the lock position.

 

You will like it again when you re-gear.

 

One could be created, just a question of price.

I'm now thinking of putting amber pods in my bumper. I know there suppose to let you see better in foul weather, but does it really work? And will they help even when I have a retrofit. I can hardly tell my current pods are on with my retrofit, they are almost useless, so I figured I could put them in the rear bumper and put some amber pods in the front. Just not sure if they would actually help in foul weather.

 

Amber helps a ton in the snow, but pods suck as fogs in general. Shooting light in every direction does not make an effective fog light. Swapped mine out of Piaa 510 Ions and couldn't be happier. Yellowish color and a nice, defined cutoff make for great performance in inclement weather, especially white-outs and snow. Which I have a lot of here, not much experience with fog, but I think the pods would be even worse there.
