I'm thinking of putting a set of older wheels on my Tacoma to be different. I've never really liked the split 3 spokes before now. They came on the older 4Runners. I have access to a set that's in nice shape, and I'm thinking about throwing them on my 2007. I photoshopped a set, and I'd like some opinions. I, personally, don't like the stock TRD Off Road set that's on it now. I googled the truck picture, but it's nearly identical to mine.

I say if you like the look, go for it! It actually doesn't look bad, so points to creativity!

I'm getting 4 in perfect shape for $100 bucks. They're in much better shape than my stock wheels. Plus, they'll stick out just a bit more. I think I might like them.

Loved those wheels on my previous '97 4Runner. Wish someone would make a set that looks like them, but 17x8.5" with 4.5 bs, and 0 offset. I'd buy em!

Looks pretty good, I'm rather bored with my OEMs and I'm looking to switch mine up to. Though I've got my eye out for a set of 3rd gen wheels. Good luck

I really like those new Off Road wheels. I just don't want to spend a grand on them with the tires. I just have a good feeling that these split 3 spokes will compliment the truck. I like the deeper dish look more and more as I contemplate it. I'm picking the wheels up tomorrow. I figure, worst case, can always resell them if they look awful.

I don't think they'll look bad at all personally. My feeling is they are going to make it pop and stand out a bit from the norm which is always nice.

I believe these are 15 inch wheels. I don't think they will clear the calipers.

There were a 15" and a 16" version, as far as I know. I kept seeing both pop up from time to time on Craigslist. The ones I'm picking up are definitely 16" x 7 inch like my OEM wheels, but with less offset so they'll stick out more flush with the fenders.

They did come in both 15" & 16" and I was temped by a set a couple years ago but found some Tundra wheels and tires for much cheeper I wanted to try and see how they looked. I think they look decent but have a different direction in mind now, so glad I went with the cheeper set.

I think they're gonna look good :) I might even leave the factory finish on them. I have a couple of cans of the pewter grey that I can go over them with too, though, like in my first photoshop pic. 45606321.jpg

Test fitted them today. They rub the calipers by like 5 mm. Not too familiar with using spacers. Is it worth doing?

I don't like the idea of using wheel spacers, but that is just my humble opinion.

I don't think I do either. Seems like one more thing to go wrong to me. They sure would have looked nice though. He even said he'd take like 15 bucks a piece for them. Tempting.... After the spacers and headache, it seems much easier and economical to buy a set that fit.
