Started my new trailer today. Damn what a long SOB.

 

Nice, like the lockwire and torque-stripe. What are we looking at?

 

Front caliper mount on an upright for a Porter/ES Motorsports Class 1/1500 car. This car to be exact.

 

my relentless one does, but the fit is a little iffy - the plate is a lot thicker so it takes some finegling

 

Very cool. So the torque-stripe is for anti-tamper verification?

 

Yes, as well as a visual indication that those bolts have been torqued to spec. It's very helpful when a car is going back together to be able to glance at hardware for the bright orange torque check and know that it has been torqued to spec, especially if you have more than one person working on the same car. It's also to make post-testing and post-qualifying car checks easier/quicker, if the torque check isn't broken, you know that the hardware hasn't moved or loosened.

It's practically freeeeee!!!!!

 

Needed a 2.5" socket. All I could find was a 1" drive. I don't own a 1" air impact wrench, but I got lots of 1/2" drive impact wrenches. 3 minutes, an old 5/8" impact socket and a mig welder and problem solved.
