Well dang. I can only really fit pods in my bumper. Maybe some pods in a spot pattern instead of flood? I was also going to add a morimoto xtorch and those come with some amber lenses as well.

The only thing piaa has in amber are these... and there stupid expensive.

I have some spot pods and they're bright, like having four headlights

Yeah but do you have a retrofit? Cause it would more then likely make the pods not needed.

Half a grand??? Got my h1 kit for under 300 with halos from TRS. They don't scatter light everywhere like pods do as well.

Yeah the only way retros make any sense is if you build them. Otherwise the price to buy parts and have someone make them is a bit much. I want to make some, but in the mean time my pods throw light pretty well (spot beam).

And its not hard to build them, at all. Not the simple h1 kit anyway.

How much do retros go for? I've been wanting to do mine, but just don't want to spend the money... But I happen to have a spare set of OEM housings.

You can get a full kit to build them yourself for around 315-375 dollars depending on what projectors and ballasts you choose. Could go even more expensive.

I spent about $200 using all TRS parts (H1's) on my retro and they have been great for the last 3 years. One of the best mods I did as the light output is so much better. Light bars and pods do put out a lot of light but I live in the city where I can never use them.

Oh I know, I've priced them out, I was wondering how much they go for a complete housing, I build them and sell to offset the cost or not.

First post on the forum. Bought my 03 Tacoma Xtra can from my brother. He had owned since new. Has 99,000 miles on it. He already had a pretty good set up tire and suspension wise so next project is to get a good sound system starting with an iPad Mini dash I'm building myself. Relocating heat controls. Will be powered when in dash and use Apple airport to get high quality optical out sound.

I may dislike apple, but that is one sweet setup you're customizing there. Welcome to TW! :)
