Does anyone know if I can just bring in my stock leafs and get them swapped out? I have a different pack in now off of an 06 with a AAL.

Side note: the 06 pack off of @bobsuruncle truck is much stouter than the stock leaf pack from my 2011

You gotta love Tacoma world. I'm still getting a stroke job from Kendall Toyota in Bend. They act like they don't know a thing.

Just got a call as my truck was in the dealership to get the leaf springs and frame checked out, they are replacing the frame, they should have it in 2 to 3 months, kind of glad about it. My truck is a 2006 with 117,XXX miles on it, I have only had it for about 5 years, I plan I driving this thing until it falls apart.

The Toyota Owners site was updated recently to confirm that they will replace with newly designed springs. There's a link for FAQ's but it's not working right now.

Site must be location specific. It tells me Remedy Unavailable and "Toyota is currently preparing the remedy for this condition."

Setting up an appointment to look at the frame this week. I was hoping to get it done at the same time as the spring leaf but looks like that won't be ready til April.

No shit. They were much better when it was Toyota of Bend. When they sold to Corporate Kendall, I feared the worst and was right.

Yep. Kendall are a bunch of fuckers. At least with Lithia I have 2 friends on the inside. If I didn't , i'd have to be a real prick (more than usual:D) with them to get shit done.

Knowing this while the dealers are still playing need to know games is classic. I really do not get the clandestine bullshit.

Looking at your pictures it looks like these are the springs I got last year with the frame recall the only difference being they didn't do the kit for me they ordered everything separately and reused the bump stops

Can you keep us updated on the status of the later phases? (I.e. 11&12)? Also is this for the single cabs (2011 4x4) as well? Mine are sagging so bad and here in the last few months they've been slapping whenever I hit a bump I just feel like they could break at any time

No my shocks are actually good I took them off one day at lunch and jumped in the bed and it sounded exactly the same like metal slapping metal just a lot more "springy". I got 2 brand new Ranchos from the parts store and stuck them on there and same thing so took em back off and got my money back lol. After all this I had a buddy jump in the bed while I stuck several pry bars and screwdrivers in various places along the leaf pack and all the "slapping" went away lol sounded like a new truck almost. But on the upside I did get the ECGS bushing installed after work today and omg it rides and sounds so much better
