You will love it man. I thought my 5100's made the ride too stiff at first but it settled after a few days and I love it now. I feel like I have more control over the truck. The truck also recovers much faster from bumps. Again, mine is only set to .85 so that's only my testimony at that setting.

That's actually a good question but just judging by what I've seen I think you will still have enough threads for a nice secure torque.

I had a few people help me when I had questions like yours before I bought my 5100's so I'm just paying it forward. You're welcome!

:cool::cool: hit the gas vs braking when I first installed the 5100's. The valving is MUCH better than the stock Bilie's!

I was about to post a thread on the same thing, so I apologize if I am hijacking the thread at all. I have a 2015 TRD OR DCSB 2w drive and I plan on ordering a front set of Bilstein 5100s for my truck. I've been doing research on this and I'm looking to make this simple. I got hooked up on some black trail team wheels, but also ready to get some tires. I want to get BFG AT ko2s 265/75/16, but before I do all that I want to put in the 5100s. The big question I have is do I put them at 1.75 or .85? I plan on leaving the rear stock. I appreciate any advice and input to help me out with this. Thanks

I'm confused, why would you need longer studs for a spacer on what I was assuming is the strut assembly? A wheel spacer wouldn't fix a lean.

Very subjective. If you're leaving the rear stock, .85 will leave you some rake while 1.75 is going to get you close to level (front or back could be slightly higher, varies by truck). Both will work, its just a matter of preference on the look and purpose.

I think he means the strut assembly bolts which would now have 1/4" spacer to contend with, not wheel studs.

Bro lean is when the front sits nose high compared to the rear.

Taco lean is what you are referring to.

Do you have stock coils? If so, as it has been said, coils are side specific, you might have had them put on the wrong sides.

Thank you for clarifying. I actually called the suspension shop back after the install and I asked them if they could have mistakenly swapped the coils. They told me that they didn't swap them and each stayed on the same side. I wonder if there is anything on the coil itself that identifies which side it goes on.

There actually is. I read in another thread that each coil is marked with a different color(I think) and it corresponds to what side it should be on. Maybe it's in the manual?

I'm running the 5100s on the top setting with stock coils and the top spacer and got 3" in the front, my 285/75r16's clear so I don't need to do the CMC. I will eventually order the eibach 3" springs and drop the 5100s back down to the bottom setting. I'm currently looking for the 5160's for the rear that will work with a 3" lift. So far the rear 5160s are only for a 0-2" and I don't want issues trying to make those work.image.jpg

Ok I just figured it out. I found a thread about this in the forums. There are paint markings towards the top of the coils. Mine is a 2015 and both of my front coils are white/white. So I think I'm good. Based on what I read, there different color paint markings on the coils, but they really differ based on the year and model you have.

I never knew what those markings were for, thanks for the info!

Here are my coils. They are both white/white. Again, mine is a 2015.

What rims are you using? do you know the backspacing? That would be great if i could clear the 285s with the lift coils and without a ton of cutting.
