Loosen it up, slide that back over, bend tab back and call it a day. Find someone to throw a bead on the back of it to keep it from bending anymore.

I have a long history of trying to do things the quick and cheap way... And always end up regretting it later. (For example buying the used prerunner instead of paying the extra $3k for the brand new TRD OR) I want it to be fixed right so I can keep it for a long time. I made an appointment with SouthEast Overland and am getting the TC cam tab gussets welded on. I was planning to trade my truck in until our second kid was born and we realized the 5th gen 4Runner is too small for our family... So I signed papers on a 2016 Highlander XLE the other day. So now I'll be keeping my truck for a while. I plan on getting an '85 Toyota to build and work on as a hobby and flip for some profit as something fun to do in the mean time. I've found some pictures of early 80's toyotas from overseas with flat beds and full fiberglass fronts that look really cool.

I think what Brent is advising is a quick bandaid until you can get the TC tabs welded on. Keep you from eating your tires too much in the mean time.
