Nothing's changed. The scoop still looks cool, but is still stupid since its probably non functional. There's one report saying its functional but most have still held the same sentiment as before if ther are no performance improvements with the scoop.

For me, I'd be able to get the tech package without the sunroof. Which I can't get right now. I want the tech package so the fiancé can stay warm while my side blows cooler air among the other perks of the tech package, but the moon roof is a deal breaker because my head touched the roof.

I think you are right. Hard core Off road riders build the truck they want. This truck would be more for a guy like me with no build experience who wants to show the vehicle for what it is and maybe like fast Baja like runs in the desert. I don't live out there anymore so that truck would be useless here except for show.

I don't see hard core off roaders paying the premium for the excesses and other things they don't need like a scoop which hinders some visibility

I wish them well in finding one. Toyota here sold their 15 Pro three months ago.

You sound like a chick who makes fun of another chick for being slightly better looking.

    I never said it wasn't
I never said it wasn't a good looking truck. Heck, I have TRD Sport 4x4 and love the scoop. Just seems like a scam to uncharge for stuff that you can easily do to an OR or Sport for less, with as good, or better components. The real offload guys know that, the posers and clueless ones will just walk into the dealership and throw money at them just for the look and bragging rights.

Yes, but you forgot the grille!!!!!!! LOL! Now if someone want an off the lot bad ass truck that they don't have to modify the pro is a great option!

Uh, I guess the bottom line is, why do you really care so much about what others buy that you have to type a paragraph about it?

I doubt anyone who wants to substantially mod there Tacoma would buy this. This truck doesn't offer anything that you couldn't do to your standard TRD OR. The only real substantial difference are suspension components that would be swapped out for more capable components anyway.

In that sense I can see why people would laugh this package off. But that's all this is, just a package.

For what I assume is 3-4K more, I get something that will handle everything I want to throw at it. It's a little more capable, it looks good from factory. And I don't have to touch it.

To me the argument isn't if you can build something better for cheaper. It's obvious that you can.

Because it's an online forum and that's the whole point...to discuss things and give opinions on things we like...and things we don't like.

Ah yes, the old "it's an online forum so I can say and act however I want" excuse. Well, keep being you, man. Just because someone wants a Pro, doesn't mean you have to give up your seat in your 'club.'

And just because someone has an opinion about not wanting one doesn't mean you should get all butt-hurt about it! You stay strong and keep your chin up when guys like me chuckle at your spotless TRD Pro rolling down the pavement!

Don't worry about me. If I'm lucky enough to get one, I'll enjoy it whether you disrespect it or not. I guess I'm just not really worried about how others spend their time or money. Think that's called being an adult.

No, but you are worried what others think, otherwise you wouldn't have been so butt-hurt and responded the way you did about my generalized comments. Apparently you thought I was talking directly to you, but I wasn't. You're not that special!

You just aren't getting it. I only called you out because I thought it sounded silly to say, the Pro is for those "...who actually don't know anything about offloading, but still think the truck looks cool and want to be part of the club..." It just seems jealous.

Count me as one who doesn't want to be a part of whatever club you belong to. Can't you enjoy doing your thing without calling people out for wanting to do their's. Are you in your teens? Seems like it. You can have the last response.

It's just like the trd off-road with good looking cosmetic upgrades, leather seats and some minor suspension upgrades. Sounds like the right package to me! If u hate on it ur hating on the original design that they just clearly improved on. If ur hating on how the price is too high for what u get ur just a broke ass who can't afford it and if ur hating how the upgrades are to minimum for your badass 4wheelin weekends then don't buy it. I thought u yota guys would not hate so much on such a good looking truck!
