I'm starting engineering this friday in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Production should start a few weeks after that. Starting with a Roof Rack/Roof Rails and then onto bed rack followed by a massive list of products and supporting products to be added. It'll be Canadian customer friendly for sure.

I just need a flippin' business name first.

Sure. Some of it is in the Build your own thread as I worked with other members on the original files and idea. It took a long while to get my idea down right. I also gave some back to the community because I find it is the community that will grow your ideas into something better. I did keep the advanced design for myself though.

They are extremely strong. Yes it has been tested, unfortunately. Sliders did save my truck from being written off.

Also let me clarify. I am a designer/ small time fabricator and work with a few others, Welders & Fabricators, to put this together. As I get an order I often will hire some help usually in the welding department.

So you're going to make true bolt ons with 1 Bored Clerk's frame plate design ?

Do you have a preliminary design of the roof rack? Will it bolt to the existing holes on a DC?

I worked with 1 Bored Clerk on the design. He gave me the original access cab file as a starting point and I modified it. My frame plates area bit different and yes I gave him and he posted my base design.
These are truly 100% bolt on no drilling required. They also strengthen the frame where they wrap around. I added a location for attachment for underbelly armor also.

I do, going to the machine shop tomorrow and pitching the idea to some investors tomorrow. More so for fun and having to hear what some business professionals have to say about my business, not for funding but the College asked me to come so I said sure.

Let me get my pitch out of the way tomorrow and Easter weekend then next week I should have some content. I do still need to work with engineers on the mounts so that they fit on the existing hardware. That is in the works though.

Going back to the drawing board a little bit to make a few things more unique. I might launch the initial design with aluminum tubing and then follow up with another design to reduce welding expenses and make everything more modular. I talked to a few machine shops that all stated the welding and labor is going to be extremely expensive and both advised me to manufacture in China which I don't want to do. I'd weld myself but my eyes are super sensitive as I got laser eye surgery a little while ago.

Going to finish up with school in 3 weeks and hopefully accelerate things into the market in May.
