I am wondering which tool box to put in my new 2016 double cab short box TRD. I definitely want a black, diamond plate aluminum Weather Guard, cross over style, but not sure which model to get. I don't like the huge oversize/deep top on it, I also don't like the very thin look.
I have not had experience with the deep tool boxes that have the 3 step down look and sit all the way on the bed.
Does anyone have any ideas or know which model it is that fits good and looks the best?

I tell ya, I been looking all over and I'm well aware of UWS. I currently have a Husky which is the UWS TBS-64-A-LP knockoff. I really don't want a crossover.
I'm leaning towards a inbed chest; 36"long x 17"tall x 20"wide from ProTech. I want to mount bed rail to the bedfloor and T-nut it to that. My figuring says it will be 3/4" shy of the bed rail.
Do you have a longbed or shortbed? Longbed gives you a few more options...

One I found interesting was AeroKlas. No Tacoma fitment, but they have Hilux, Frontier, etc.

Thx for the rapid response, I've been thinking about it and agree with Phoosa I don't want to loose any bed space, have you guys seen any smaller boxes that bolt to the side of the bed? I remember a member posting a pic but don't recall the thread.

FWIW, they're easy to take out

There is a box that is much narrower (9", maybe 12"). Betterbuilt (lowes) is the brand I believe. However, its only available in chrome now. Black was discontinued.

I got my UWS box from a local Toyota
dealership for 160$ it was on sale cause it had a small dent that was 100% unnoticeable. I was very happy with that deal

Amazon says the 63 won't fit but if you check the spec's on the UWS web site you'll see it does fit.
