One of my emblem tabs felt like that too. The emblem snapped back in without issue. Those tabs are junk. Cross your fingers when you put it back together

Please don't put a razor that close to your paint! I posted this on the last page but after the razor comment I'll post it again. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vGBOteFrPfo

I stopped when they started doing that, so I haven't taken it off yet and I'm hesitant to. EDIT: One tab just broke, so I guess I'll just leave the damn thing on. Very cheaply made.

Dipped the grill, badges and door handles. First tried doing door handles by taping close like you would doing baseboards and they came out ok. I then did a few more layers by taping off a big rectangle like when doing the badges and peeling off unwanted area and this left nice clean edges.

**Found that rubbing alcohol worked great on removing areas of overspray

    Or this one..

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Auto-3D-Met...ash=item2eeae54674:g:ZVwAAOSw7ThUqazl&vxp=mtr

A lot of the ebay sellers that have them are from China, but not these 2. I would also recommend this kind, with the nuts that screw on, rather than the ones that have double sided tape.

I got mine from Amazon from a vender called "GOOACC." I can't speak to the quality yet but it seems great at first glance. It mounts with the metal backplates and nuts. Paid like 7.50.

I got mine from Amazon too. $7.49... same listing.... Mine isn't perfect... chrome coating had a small blemish and one of the studs wasn't straight. But for $7.. it worked and you can't tell while it's on the truck.

for those of you that have done the lower part of your tailgate-- how did you do it?

i tried today. light coat - 15min - 3 heavy coats with 15 min in between - one final heavy coat and peeling tape immediately after.

my lines were super jank and irreparable. i ended up peeling it all and putting it back on my truck.

any tips for clean lines and zero frustration?

Why don't you post a add on the buy/sale/trade thread? I'm sure there are tons of folks that would love to swap out a for a color matched valence
