    Hi All,

This service will no longer be offered. Thanks to everyone who supported it, but I just don't have the throughput to support it right now.

Yep! I can fill in the channels at the top and smooth them over. You'll never know they were there.

I can put together a wiring harness with the correct interfaces that will retain your JBL amplifier and steering wheel controls. The wiring portion of it will be plug and play. When I make my wire harnesses I solder all connections.

I know this is going to sound crazy (or, maybe not) but how difficult would this be for someone who knows nothing more electronic/electrical except to plug in a cord to a wall outlet? I'd love to jump all over this offer and not even be concerned about waiting for the group buy but, on the same token, it wouldn't do me much good to start tearing out my stereo system and end up with a huge hole in my dash cause I couldn't get past that.

"Double-Din head units with every feature offered by an iPad in dash solution typically cost $800 or more"
Not trying to come across as challenging you because, as I said, I know nothing more than to plug an appliance in the wall, but I'm honestly trying to understand the value in what's being offered here.

If the "Double-Din head units with every feature offered by an iPad" offer every feature of an Ipad, then what's the purpose in needing to purchase the Ipad, as well as your mounting kit, instead of just purchasing the head unit? Can purchasing the Ipad and your kit with cables cancel out the need to use the head unit? Thanks.

The install requires no electrical work beyond simply plugging things in. All of the wiring is done beforehand and arrives to you completed. I'll be writing a comprehensive install guide this week to help people better understand the process.

I guess that was poor wording on my part because no Double DIN head unit on the market can offer the same features as the iPad in dash. Anything from the iPads broader selection of multimedia sources to the quality of its display make it a much better solution than even the most expensive head units out there. The head unit that is used behind the dash just runs the audio and OEM function retention like steering wheel controls and does not have a color video display. It's only about a $170 head unit, not comparable to the Double DIN ones that I was referring to.

That's a good question, actually, haha. I don't remember which member that I made that kit for or I would tag him and ask.
