    Means it looks like you have a lot of unnecessary moving parts stuck to your T-case and I'm glad mine is just plain and simple with no extra crap to break. :thumbsup:

    Oh, and I was saying the nipple does look like where the hose was likely attached.

    Lee is correct, just get a new hose in the same size and replace that one. They end that is off goes on that nipple. Fairly common that they dry out and split and fall off. It's for the vacuum actuated crap for your 4 wheel drive.

    just wait to hit an auto parts store. They have reels of all different sizes of hose so they are bound to have what you need. Just take the old one in there to compare.

    1997 t4r has super duty axles, 5.13s locked front and rear. 3 link front with 14" kings. Rear 63s.
    Has longer new lines and it won't start

    Is the pump whirring when turned in accessory mode? Also where is the pump mounted now? They usually push the fuel so below the tank is ideal if possible. I'd check the wiring too and a hand pump from Advance or something might work too

    how long did you try to crank it? Shouldn't take long to get fuel to the fuel rail even with new lines and longer lines. Maybe take the fuel line off the fuel rail and turn the key to see if it will pump air and then fuel out.

    I gave up already on my little project. The line feeds up above the transfer case and it hard to get to. Plus the line is extremely hard to put on the nipple so I just cut the original hose and stretched it to fit lol.

    Right, but if the fuel pump is in the tank, submerged in fuel, then priming it shouldn't be an issue. It should be self-priming. If it's on the frame or on the engine, that might be a whole other story. We actually would need more information for an interwebz diagnosis. For instance, is the pump running? If not, then it could be a wiring issue (wire pulled loose/broken, blown fuse, etc...). Is the fuel gauge working? If not that might indicate and issue with the wiring harness as well.

    Alternatively, in the process of dropping and relocating the tank, there might be some trash in there that got jostled loose and is now plugging the pick up screen, although I'd find this highly unlikely. Could also be that in the new location there's not enough fuel in the tank for the pump to pick up. :notsure:

    I've only ever heard of having to prime the fuel pump on old-skool diesels with mechanical injector pumps, never on a gasoline engine, FWIW.:notsure:
