lol, so many complainer and haters. This is a very specific product, not some base model where you get 101 options. Guess how many engines you get to choose from in a 2017 Raptor? Guess how many doors your get to choose from with a 2017 Powerwagon? Waaaaaa

You should be cheering because an major manufacturer chooses to make a very specialized and capable OEM truck, especially a Toyota. Nothing is ever enough for some of you. So it doesn't meet your meaningless standards... Bunch a fucking spoiled brats, go buy a Ridgeline.

I honestly like the design and what they did with the TRD Pro. The only thing they messed up with was the tires, I wish they put something a little better on there. Otherwise it's a great overall package. Everyone on here says they want bigger tires, beefier suspension, a better engine etc etc. A stock TRD OR with AT tires is good enough for 90% of people and the TRD Pro is probably good enough for 99% of the people on here. Most people overbuild their trucks for what they intend to do, thinking that they NEED the best to enjoy an adventure. Truth is the trucks in stock form have more capability than people have courage, skills, or smarts. A stock TRD Pro Tundra can go through Hells Gate without any problems. Yet how many overbuilt Jeeps with LT suspensions have we seen go through the same run and struggle with it? I have no intentions of buying a TRDP Taco, I own a 4Runner and find it more practical. However to each their own and if you want the TRDP Taco then by all means just get it. I don't see why there has to be some endless debate about whether or not it's worth the $5k markup.

You better get use to the minivan engine with all of the new gas mileage federal regulations coming into play by 2025.

The universal problem with tires is they are so user dependent based on needs, use, location, etc... and that's why so many vehicles come with just really average tires. I can forgive a blah tire to a certain extent, although in this case I would have like to see a better AT as well. Still, a bunch of people are going to slap MTs or whatever on it, so I can still see the reasoning.

I agree with the second bolded. Look, I'm the kind of guy that would rather get a pretty basic TRD and upgrade it slowly over time the way I want it. But I totally can appreciate the fact that this is a real truck, not just a sticker and an extra letter by the name. It's a symbolic commitment by Toyota to a niche of consumer that is rare and awesome. The very fact that this truck can do only 9% more than the TRD OR (just using your statement as a yardstick) should indicate to everyone that Toyota is so bad ass in a world of pussy trucks, that they high fived the off road community with an OEM truck that can do just a little more... because they can.

That TRD Pro is really nice but too much of an off road truck for me I'm from the Bay Area it's all streets out here I don't really need all that.

i have a feeling the dealer is going to mark up this truck... the tundra td pro 4 door is like $46-$47k... and one article said starting $38k, so that means around $41k, plus other BS

They are putting deposits and agreeing to pay MSRP when they get one. It's win win for the dealership.

It really looks quite good for a factory truck. If I hadn't already bought a '16, with the TRD Pro being available in a manual it would be extremely tempting. If the concrete color had been available for '16 I'd have also needed to contemplate very hard between it and quicksand.

Have not priced out what the fox system would cost aftermarket. Have a hard time seeing how tha
From what I saw on dealer lots for the 2015. It certainly isn't going to be cheaper.

I saw plenty of 2015 Tacoma TRD pros in that same price range.

That's crazy. Better to throw in a couple grand and pick up the 2017 raptor. Def more bang for the buck...and less rust.

I was all excited until I saw there's no Access Cab. And why put the Sport's fake scoop on it?

Well I called my closest dealer last night to see about preordering a TRD Pro. And I'll surely be calling a different dealer...

I asked if he's seen them yet since I told him they just unveiled it at the Chicago auto show. He said, "yeah I saw it a the Detroit show"... Hmm... no you didn't as it wasn't at the Detroit show.

Then he was looking for it in the computer (I told him I'm sure it's not in there yet), and he said, now is that an SUV? I wish I was kidding.

"Ok, we'll give you a call when we get one in" he said. Uh, wouldn't you think I'd like to tell you what color I want at the very least?

Well, I need to find a new dealer. Anyone have suggestions for one in Michigan? It seems like going with a large dealer that not only knows it's a truck, not an SUV, but one that sells a lot as I assume that they'll get more.

I haven't bought a truck in 20 years, but I'm pretty excited about this one.
