Party foul...gotta make them work for their eye candy

@pngo121 what's the metal piece in the front of your bumper...that for towing or a mounting point for something? Love the work you've done to it.

It's a fair lead for a winch. Haven't gotten a winch yet though. I put it on there so it breaks up some of the black in the front.

    Thanks bro!

Anything about installing this grill make it impossible to return back to stock? Just curious

It is a direct replacement of the stock insert so bringing it back to stock is not a problem.

This one is a modified version to go with the bumper and is around 7-8" smaller than the stock oem replacement.

Ahh I see. Looks amazing regardless

I still can't decide on backing plate color, I had him switch it twice already.

Yeah that seems to be everyone's issue. I like the color match. The picture you posted is actually my truck.

    @pngo121,

Thanks for helping out Jerry with all our questions so he can focus on getting our grilles out the door. I just thought of something last night that I didn't think to ask. The "slot" where we will be putting the color matching plates, I'm assuming it either drops in or slides into a shelf on the inside of the grille. My question is, are there drainage holes on the bottom of that shelf to allow rain water, etc to escape? Or am I envisioning this completely wrong and there is no concern?

    Thanks!

Didn't read the whole post but did anybody ask if a lightbar would fit in there? Or some back lit acrylic? Too hot import nights ish?

Light bar, no. Some other kind of small LED, probably.

I was thinking of using a piece of translucent acrylic plastic to replace the metal color bar and use stick on led strips behind the plastic. Rivets holding the center bar housing to the grill would need to be drilled out and replaced with M6 rivnuts for future access.

@JLee will probably better answer that since he knows the full design inside out.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Okay so I haven't said anything on that matter yet but I changed the attachment of the center bar to 10x24 Rivnuts and button head socket head cap screws. that way if you guys want to make changes later down the road you can simply unbolt the center section and make your changes. The backing plate is attached with heavy duty foam tape so that part bight be a pain to remove but we will have just center sections and backing plates on the site so they can be ordered later to change the grille up if the customer wants too.

If it was only sunk in that grille would of been perfect! it protrudes out way too far.

I wonder what this grill would look like with no backing plate at all. From the other pics you would be able to see through the grill somewhat. I think it would actually look really good this way.

Any chance of showing a pic without the backing plate installed?
