Thanks for the input. So it sounds like there is a power switch mod? Or they just got a replacement switch on warranty?

I always just directed people to a local electronic store that had a switch that fit the form factor and was made by decent company. Otherwise it is a Rigid tool so you can just get it warrantied. The spring that holds the selector ball in the detent is what breaks.

OK, thanks. Wonder if they have fixed the issue by now? I didn't see it come up in the many many reviews, unless I didn't read enough yet.

No problem, it is a good tool, and as long as you "activate" the lifetime warranty you're good to go. Another idea I had was to always leave it in the on position and use a foot switch instead.

All manufactured right here in the USA. My house was built 8 years ago as my appliances fail, ill stick with these brands going forward.

Our Samsung came with the house and started quiet but definitely has gotten louder. Also doesn't dry dishes as well as I would like even with a heating unit. I guess that's what happens with a contractors/house flippers special. The stove/oven however is awesome.

Nicole's grandmother bought us a samsung stove/oven when I switched to natural gas, so since then I've had to buy a samsung microwave and fridge to match. So far no problems, and I almost bought the matching dishwasher too. I'm very cautious though since I keep hearing more and more bad reviews of their appliances. At this point i'm just hoping they last until we remodel the kitchen.

I'd like to thank who ever did the electrical for doing it correctly and even going through the studs instead of around....

The stud in your first pic just seems like its on the wrong side of 47 1/4 and away , are the rest all on 16" centres from there ?

No, the spot with out insulation you see in the first picture is a block buttress for the basement walls. It falls at 12' and 8' from the other wall. So that fucked up everything for them. Some I'm moving to the other side others are 6 inches.

Grabbed my spare sawzall.... lots of noise blade moves and no power under load...so it's pretty worn inside. Ugh today zero progress.

Does that one have the older style Makita keyless blade change that flies off the end of the tool every so often ?
