Felt that way when they outlawed smoking in public places. Now I can't imagine live with cigarette smoke everywhere.

Favorite back up cam moment, In Big Bear with with and sisters in the Prerunner, a spot opens up so I go to back in. Wanted to get perfectly straight in the spot, so I backed up to about an inch from some dude's new mercedes, I happen to glance up to see A guy standing up at the restaurant nearest to us at the outside eating area, just wide eyed and waiting to hear a crunch. I pull back forward, straightened out and we go about our business. As I walk by him I see him staring at me and I just laugh and say 'Back up camera, man, calm down'. He laughs, I laugh, the toaster laughs, I shoot the toaster.

You know what they say: "Once you go back, you never go...or always go... I can't remember how the saying goes. I think it had something to do with genitalia.

Yea, its usually the people that don't like new technology that don't like back up cams and the like. Yes, I hate having the means to eliminate the blindspot behind my truck and look forward to running over all the neighbor kids when they go running behind the truck for that pesky basketball that goes flying under my truck. That shit happens like once a month when I'm leaving for work. Head on a swivel and all that, but a couple times I luckily glanced at the camera in time and saw a kid picking up the ball like 2 feet from my bumper. Its almost time to install backup beepers lol

I really need a back up camera with my tundra. The camper makes it harder to park and at night I can't see shit.

Haha! I saw a t-shirt that said, "I like my women like my coffee- chopped up and in the freezer".
    Disturbing, but kinda funny...

I like to fuck with the new guys when they ask if I want coffee "I like my coffee like I like my men, hot black and strong, or white weak and sweet." And then sit back and laugh as they realize what I just said get all flustered.

I went in 2014 with the wife and kiddo. First part on a 2.5 week 4 state Haul that included the expo, Moab and more. I had a blast. We just paid the entrance, didn't sign up for any of the classes or anything. Camping was pretty snug. We got lucky and we're invited to camp next to a big FJ Cruiser crew that was super cool. It certainly wasn't like camping in the woods or anything, but we figured as much. Plus it's 2-3 days max, we spent the remainder of our time miles from anyone, so it was fine.

The expo was awesome, tons of vendors, big names like fox, ARB, all pro etc, and plenty of cool stuff I'd never seen before. The Expedition Overland crew was there, stopped and chatted with them for a while. Super cool folks. Some decent deals to be had in the vendor area... And TONS OF BADASS RIGS! From the massive earth roamers and unimog based campers to tricked out tacos, FJ's and more. Plus one of the most fun parts was cruising around the campgrounds checking out peoples cool setups.

Met some great peeps. Shared some stories. All in all had a great time. And we didn't even participate in any of the classes, courses or after-hours parties we were invited to (9 month old baby girl with us...)

Plus Flagstaff is a cool town, and there's some fun roads you can take in that area if you want to make a expedition out of it.

I guess the weather turned to shit last year, that would certainly put a damper on the fun, but we had blue skies and 65-70 degree days when we went in '14.

Here's a link to some pics I took there...

Word. Yeah I would say going all that way for just the expo, maybe not, but if you can make a little adventure out of it, say for instance driving up from Sedona, there's lots of 4x4 trails near Sedona, and Schnelby Hill Rd takes you from Sedona to Mormon Lake all on dirt. Pretty cool trail from what I've seen.

Thanks ill have to think about it
The big thing with me was id be missing about a week of school and work so extending the trip may not be plausible. And also getting 12 miles to the gallon on a trip that would mostly be highway driving doesn't sound extremely fun so I think ill just use that money for more goodies on the truck

@VolcomTacoma screws the beepers idea, just get a PA and a power horn and announce every gear selection at max volume.

Would really enjoy hearing "okay I'm going to back up now, please stay away from my rear (giggle)," blasted through the morning air.
