    Hey yawl,

I have been wanting to do a 3" lift to my 03 SR5 4X4 since i bought her in May... I have done alot of searching here on the sight, and there is alot of info! I drive 85% street and 15% off road now that I live in NY...

My question is what do yawl think of this kit that is on ebay? Please I need some guidance...

    Thanks for your time,

    Scott

Its a top plate lift. They can be hard on the ball jopints, and if off roaded, could cause the shocks to break.

    wow that was quick! ;-)

Chris, I see your all over the place and everyone values your opinions very much; so u probably get asked often what would be a the best route to go with? I have looked at coil-overs and I would love to get them but they are out of the price range at least for right now...

anyone else please I need all the help I can get, I was used to lowering cars ;-)

    thanks again!

Im not a fan of spacer lifts. The Pre load spacers make the ride harsh, while the top plate spacers can cause ball joints to wear out quickly, and/or lead to breakage if off roaded. The bilstien 5100's are an replacement shock that allows for 4 different mounting heights of the spring seat, and giving lift. Heights are 0", .85", 1.75", and 2.5" lift. They are larger than the OEM shocks, and offer better dampening for aftermarket coils, or the preloaded OEM springs. Also, you can get threaded adjusters and a couple different springs from Eibach that work well with these shocks. Another option is OME (Old Man Emu). They offer an assortment of springs, and a nice set of shocks. The springs range from a 590# spring rate, to a 650# rate for use with bumpers and winches.

Ok so, I just want to make sure that I am following yawl...

I can run stock coils with the 5100's and its best if I add a AAL with that...

Is there anything else that I should be getting?

I have read about the front differential drop down spacer, is that a good idea to install if I want to put her up to 2.5 inches?

Thanks again for all your help!

    Scott

    P.S. WTF does FTMFW mean?

    Thanks again ;-)
