    @scottalot @Unchained 5150 im looking to exhaust upgrade, I been wanting the TRD exhaust it's hard to find for long bed. I don't mind modding it but it will cause more money to do it. My idea is how about buy a flow master 50 series and do a swap?

    Yes, because you're just cutting out the stock muffler and leaving the stock piping.

    With the 3" system, if you cut/or dump it right behind the axle, pretty much all the drone/cabin noise goes away. Yes, I know as I have that system.

    Depending on how much 'grawl' you are looking for, magnaflow offers 14", 18" and 24" long mufflers. Shorter is louder.

    I've had mufflers installed in all my previous trucks but this time around, I'd rather go with a cat-back instead of having a muffler/resonator welded in. I know it says Tacomas, but I didn't see the DCLB cat-back system listed P/N: 19293.



    This is what I'm afraid of, but it looks like the cat-backs for the DCLB's have a resonator so that should help with the drone. Odd placement that it's before the muffler though.

    I currently have a 14" Magnaflow dumped before the axle. Liked it at first, but it's too loud for me now. So at some point I'd like to switch over to the Magnaflow catback system for a little less drone. Really like the way the catback sounds on 1st gen 3.4's.
