Yeah kind of an inside joke to the members who were around at the time. I can't find the thread anymore as I think it was locked and deleted, but it was definitely a laugh. Regardless man, sick build and I would like to see some suspension pics. I have much respect for the overland builds. Especially when they are very cleanly done. Of course, that goes without saying that I would like to see some dirt on that frame at some point in time, very soon. :) No pressure.

Suspension is Fox 2.5 and Tottal Chaos UCA's, rears are Wheelers 2.5 springs with the extra leaf. Rear shocks set 4 clicks to max slow rebound.

And this truck will see its first 30 Day overland shakedown trip the Month of April.

I agree. Trash the aluminum skids quickly, as those bend just by looking at them!

Im undecided on a vendor, and I have to keep the front skid plate, not by choice.

European TUV standards, the truck will be headed to Europe for some bonafide expo. We have a lot....a lot of restriction to contend with. Choices were made with this in consideration, making the build very difficult, ask Steven from wheelers off road, the man has so much patience lol.

I am curious as well, why?

Take a look at the BAMF skid. 1/4 thick plating. Handles my dune jumper/ whoop smashing style wheeling and is insanely sturdy. Definitely one of if not THE best skid out there. This is actually the prototype pic!

Definitely can understand that. If that is the case. Stick to the aluminum. :)

As is, we have to disable and cover the rigid front light while operating on the roads. We also have to mount a plate in front of the winch fairlead. TUV standards makes the California CARB look permissive and free. We aren't even allowed to drill, grind or weld to the frame or body, For Example the sliders are mounted minus 3 Bolts. More on this on the write up.

Jesus. I might end up liking CARB after all just because of your post.

Thank you, ARE Z top, I can't really recommend it. Rack is a PrInSu racks, strongly recommend, not perfect, but definitely the nicest rack out there. If there were a better option for our needs, we would have it.
