I was asked for another shoot of the bumper with the carrier open, hope this is good enough.

The swing out is solid, closes nice and smooth, and has virtually no movement when closed. We have an additional can and mount, they are really easy to change between two and one can. I will change this as needed, same as the tires.

Interesting about all the TUV regulations. Does that only concern Germany and Austria? I realize it's a pretty strict standard, and if met would likely be okay in other countries. How do they feel about a fuel can mounted to the outside of the vehicle, specifically on the rear. I'm honestly a little surprised at all the regulations, having seen some of the cobbled together vehicles for the Mongol Rally. I guess it really depends on what you're doing and how long you're there.

Cough, Cough, OK leme try this. Muy agradecido por los complimentos. No tengais celos, motivate a seguir tu projecto. Y si, todo va magnificamente. I hope that was somewhat OK, I'm a little rusty on my Latin languages.

Yes and no, the TUV is by far the most strict of the bag, but other EU countries have specific restrictions that must be taken into account. One of our trips will involve a 30 day overland from Scotland to the Turkish border. The fuel can is a specific NATO EU approved unit. Germany is OK with it but the UK is not, Italy allows it as long as its on rural roads. Very expensive but necessary for it to travel were it sits. Alas, I'm giving to much away. spoilers spoilers lol.

Any advice on how to set my Fox 2.5 reservoir CO's? Your stance looks pretty good. I'll be riding on BFG KO2 265/75/16's. Ideas on how much thread to leave showing on each side?

    Thanks

Super clean truck! Can't wait to see what else you do. Subb'd! Are you going to buy/build a draw system for the bed? Or RTT?

First, I'm no mechanic, second, all the information and knowledge I gained from this process came from the guys at Toytec and wheelers off road. So that being said I'm no expert, but this is what know to be true for the set up on the Argo.

First, get the spanner wrench, there are a lot videos and post showing a #3 Philips screwdriver or chisels being used to adjust the coilovers. Fox changed the design on the collars and that shortcut no longer works.

The Argo has a 10,000 lbs winch, winch plate and a 75lbs battery to power all of this, not to mention a bunch of heavy interior upgrades and recovery gear in the cab. The nuber of turns necessary for you to achieve one inch of hight might vary depending on your set up. For us, it was 7 full rotations = 1 inch of lift on the passenger side, 9 on the driver side.

Another thing to be aware of is, once you adjust the coils, you have to drive the truck around the block, bring it back, measure adjust repeat then align.

Don't assume shops will know how to work on your Yota, especially if you have aftermarket UCA's. Bring alignment instructions from the parts manufacturers. It will make your life easier. Also, make sure you have full tank of petrol before you get any adjustments done.

In my photos, you see the TEC adjusting a coilover on a spring compressor. That is not necessary, you can adjust the coils in the vehicle. The reason the coil in the photo is on the spring compressor is becouse 4Wheel Parts in Nashville cross threaded the collar, and then refused to fix it. More on that on my write up.

As it sits, the front is at 22 .75 rear 24 .5 empty. Loaded it's 22.5 front 23.5 rear. Exactly what we wanted. Hope that helps.

Cant do an RTT, for one I detest them, and then there is either a 17 foot Necky touring Kayak or a 10 foot Piranha white water boat that goes on the roof. Additionally I need space to stand for photography and video purposes. I also need some room for the MTB. Thats why we decided on a 6 foot bed when we ordered the truck, so we can sleep, where else, in the bed of the truck LOL.
