had to go back and look at the post but yep that is heading up and out of devils punch bowl on scholfeild pass, probably about 1-2miles past crystal mill and the little town of crystal on the way to crested butte. Fun trail that id like to make a yearly trip if possible

How was it stuffing those in there? On the fence on my move to the standard 285 thing but 35's are pretty damn enticing

My 2010 Access Cab, 4x4, SR5, 2.7l, 5 speed MGM is pictured way back when there were less than 3 digits of pages in this thread. I've been very happy with my Extang Tri-Fold most of the time, but I've always thought about adding a cap for the rest of the time. But, I've never felt I could justify the price of one. That's just me, everyone should have what they want.

Shorten the story, I found a guy not far from me whose 2013 AC is coming off lease, and he didn't want the hassle of turning it in with a cap it didn't have at lease, nor did he have a place to store it for any amount of time, so he was anxious (my favorite kind of seller) to unload it for some Presidents (here on President's Day).

Weather isn't exactly perfect for a parking lot swap (12°F, and snow starting at noon), but I was anxious too. Met him at his place of work, agreed with the price and condition, and set about freezing my fingers.

    Here is the before:

And about 20 minutes of bone chilling Tri-Fold removal, cap un-bolting, parking lot dead lifting, cap re-bolting later, I could barely get my iPhone to acknowledge the frozen stubs of fingers, but did get this picture:

Note the artistic application of PA road salt that provides a kind of highlight to the MGM color.

Stopped on the way home and picked up a proper wiring harness to avoid a road side violation discussion, or a failed PA Inspection, and back home where I'll let it sit out the "Wintery Mix" forecast for tonight.

I might be having a go at it... Going up to 2.75 front (roughly same) and just AAL in the rear. If it were easy everyone would be doing it.. Rig looks good though..

Nice! We went up in a buddy's stock 4runner but turned around at the Mill itself. The trail map we were reading said the trail after the town of crystal was "not recommended".. sounds like it gets pretty bad. The first part was pretty narrow as it was! Looking forward to heading up there sometime this year now that I have my Tacoma..

Did some work this weekend, working on color matching that FJ badge for the grille. Overall pleased with @HomerTaco ghost raptor mesh grille, I've gotten alot of compliments for it!
