Does that allow for four bikes? Pretty slick the way that folds up when not in use.

Nice bike! How do you like the Recon. I don't have my Taco yet, but will almost certainly be putting a shell on so I need a hitch rack. I also need to be able to haul 4 bikes on occasion if not 5. I was considering getting the 1Up HD and just adding the two bike add-on when taking the family out but that's a 4-bike limit. Recon looks stout but a bit massive to leave on for a daily single bike transporter.

I love the recon. It works awesome. It comes on/off easy. I used to leave it on my pathfinder everyday. Never noticed any negatives

Do you happen to have any pics with the tailgate down? I'm trying to figure out if you can still sit on the tailgate or if the rack makes it awkward. Sounds like the Recon swing arm won't be seeing the light of day soon. Thanks!

I dont at that moment. Im out of cali right now press checking a catalog. When I get back, i'll throw it on, and take some pics. I typically lean it down if I was in the back of the pathfinder i used it on.

Not really "carrying", but my toy nonetheless. I was extremely pleased with the V6 and how it towed. Not sluggish at all and surprising after coming from an '05 Tundra DC V8.

Is your Ranger 17 or 18 feet? Any idea how many pounds the boat, trailer and motor are? I used to haul a Cajun around that was similar size.

17 feet. Specs say boat is 1,375 and trailer 2,995, so about 4,400lbs. I was simply amazed how good the taco did pulling it, although I only went from storage to the car wash, back to home, then this morning drove her about 25 miles to the dealer for some repairs and maintenance.

I plan to keep this truck for many many years so yes the initial investment is pricey but they are built very well, and will do all I need them to do.

Exactly what model did you get and did that price come with the rack ? or just the rack mounts? I might be buying the same one as yours and need specifics if you don't mind.

Can you post more photos? the locking mechanism near the tail gate and then maybe one of the canister
