New England B.S. Thread

I gave up 1/3 of the way through the final season of Breaking Bad. I just couldn't deal with it being slow. Unfortunately I watched a ton of the episodes with something sitting in front of me, so I missed out on a lot of the nuisances and whatnot.

Love TWD though. Crazy episode, no doubt. TWD might be the only new show I watch, outside of Quantico. The only thing I have on the DVR that's mine is re-runs of CHiPs. Once I canned 95% of my cable and lost NESN and Velocity, I basically don't watch TV anymore.

Side note, I've got the Grammys on in the background. They need to can their sound engineer. When Adele sounds terrible, something is wrong. The mix is just waaaay off.

 

I'm watching the Grammy's and I noticed that too. Not just the 1 second blip but Adele's whole song sounded terrible. Someone was playing a hi-hat and it didn't fit in at all. Justin Bieber sucks even more than I thought he did. His whole 2 songs were a total joke. That kid has absolutely no talent at all! He can't dance and he can not sing for shit!

 

Yeah...that high hat was awful. She can really sing, and it took away from it. I can't believe I'm saying this but Bieber with just a guitar was a lot more manageable than whatever they attempted with the electronical thing. I wonder what it sounded like live.

I've now hit the weird phase musically where nothing I like is even nominated, I've lost touch with the indie scene, or just don't care for the new music, but I don't want to relegate myself to oldies. I've been trying to get into easycore just to listen to something new, but even that seems like a parody of the screamo stuff i listened to in college. I miss the days of Drive-Thru Records, punk pop and early screamo, a lot of those bands were the soundtrack of my late teens / early 20's.

 

The boy toy and I just saw dead pool in iMax, loved it! Bartender was the best character in the whole movie

 

If I lost velocity I'd have to commit seppuku...

I thought the Gammys were so bad, I went to bed.

Edit: BTW, Morning all! Still 29 at the house - covered in ice. Gotta get to work - hopefully the studded tires do their job!
