Its possible if the angle isn't right. How much drop do you have on the carrier bearing? Maybe it's not enough, I have 1.5"& feel like it could use a little more. Beefed taco makes 1.5" & 2", 1.5 is for 4" & lower 2 is for 5" & higher.
OME makes a little thin one but don't know if it does much, maybe for a 3" lift it would work.
I'm pretty sure both halves of the DS have to be in a straight line.

Honestly I'm not sure, whatever came with the lift kit is what I put on but I don't think it was a 1.5" drop

If you don't have a driveshaft spacer installed that is probably where you are getting your vibes. On prerunners the more you lift the rear it will start to pull the driveshaft out off the tailshaft of the transmission. Pic attached of where a driveshaft spacer will be installed to move the driveshaft back to where it should be.

Gonna be doing my lift soon, spindles up front with 5100s and Dakars in back with the extra leaf as well, my RTT stays on truck rack nearly all the time. Is there anyway to tell if I will need or how much DS spacer I will need in advance? I have the OME CB drop that they recommend but I think that is only 0.75". I figured I could shim with washers initially if I need more there.

Any suggestions out there anybody? Anybody else making or using a DS spacer?

Don't know if this helps but I'm lifted 5.5" in the rear with no added weight & have a 1.5" DS spacer. Seems like every 2" it pulls the DS out about .5". When I had 2" block it was out about .5" but no noticeable vibes.

the only sure fire way to find out is to look once the truck is lifted. then you can measure and order accordingly

I have 3* shims as well so I'm hoping I'll be relatively lined up with those and the cb drop. Some people say angle is the biggest issue. I think with the Dakars and extra leaf, I'll be sitting +2.75 loaded.

Like @Alfuh said the best way to tell is measure after everything is done & had a chance to settle. Just a guess but I'd say at around 3" of lift it would probably pull the DS out about .75"

    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
I have the 4" Maxtrac with the OME Dakar leaf springs. I didn't need to shim anything and the drive shaft came out about 3/8 inch. Runs smooth no vibes. The truck is smoother now than stock. Try to keep it simple and clean.

hahaha yeah totally :p I knew your truck kinda looked familiar lol. I saw yours and another one later on with retros that waved to me lol.

Nah that was a coworker of mine haha, his pathfinder decided to just shut off on him out on the ranges lol. turns over...but doesnt fire, just sits there and spins. and again.....another person impressed at what my prerunner can do lol, had to drag his pathfinder out of the trails and through a bunch of sand back to base, then had to drive him back up to crestview. She did good gettin that nissan out of there lol, threw it into 1st and got through the sand parts, then of course driving on the highway back was the easy part haha

Haha lol, id never buy a nissan. The pathfinder was just dead weight towing it back to base lol, damn thing doesn't want to fire, just turns over. Didn't have any tools on me, so we couldn't mess with anything lol

I'm looking to add the Maxtrac spindles to my 3rd gen. Am I going to be alright just buying those and throwing them on or am I not going to be satisfied and want to immediatly buy a bunch more stuff to compliment the lift? Going to do wheels and tires when i do the lift as well.

You will be happy. If you go offroading you will still want better shocks. You also need something for the rear to level it out
