So I put mine in an Altoids tin (blocks RF) and lock it in the bed using the tailgate key, then just tie that to my shorts. but obviously you have to have a tonneau cover. Idk of the long beds have them as on option or if you are getting one

I haven't body board or go fishing for a long time. When I do go, I was going to try and see if I can turn off the smart key and hide the fob in the car and take the key with me. The instructions to turn off the key fob can be found in the manual on page 123.

That's what I do. I disable the fob, lock it up under the tonneau and tie the tailgate key to my shorts.

Won't turning it off disable your alarm too? I got the glass breaking sensor too, I'll just carry the whole thing in a small waterproof case and put it in my board short pockets

Locking the door with the key that comes in the key fob won't disable the alarm.

Thanks! I can't wait to pick it up and meet all of you.

If you had a choice between the Icon stage 3 or the TOYTEC Boss lift with their top parts who would you go for? I don't plan on crazy rock climbing but mostly weekend rides up around Kanea point and maybe the infamous peacock flats. So it's gonna be a lift just for occasional trails, I got about $2,500 to drop on it plus $ 1,500 for some wheels and tires

I ordered my undercover flip from Tonneaucovers.com. The list price was $821, but it was on sale for $750 and they charged me $150 to ship it to Hawaii. It came via FedEx and took about 4 days to come in. It was packed super good and have confidence that it wouldn't get damaged.

I ordered the same one from autoanything.com for about the same price. Nice cover... Secure and no problems with water coming in.

Any of you local guys and gals have any issues with the new truck? Loose u-bolts, slipping trans, un-greased drive shaft, messed up rear door window trims? I'm just trying to get an idea what the condition of the trucks coming in to hawaii are like. Maybe servco has those stuff on their checklist? Thanks, mine hasn't come in yet.
