I was thinking if you took that item to work I could meet you there..... too late, LOL

    I'm listening.....

So @genequit came by again today. A couple hours yesterday, + a handful of hours today, my shackle flip and Dakars are in! My acceleration vibration is gone, and the ride is nice, not too stiff at all. The reason I've been going through U-Joints is the center pin was broken on the passenger leaf pack!

Here's the kicker... we ran down to Discount Tires so I could pick up some new lug nuts... Ordered new rims\tires for all 4! Most expensive lug nuts ever!!!!!

Thanks again Gene, I most definitely couldn't have done it without you!

I've not once ever had to loosen the Lca cam bolts to pull the coil over out, and I've now installed lifts on 5 or 6 3rd gens. Break the upper ball joint free and you'll have all the room you need, no spring compressor needed.

Edit: you're removing the top cap while yhe truck is still in the truck, aren't you? Eff that noise. If you have a shop near you, they should be able to disassemble and reassemble the c/o's for about 20 bucks in about 10 minutes. Muuuuuch easier to go that route.

Yeah, I realized after my post what you were doing. Check out my edit. Personally, I think it'll be your best option and will avoid having to get another alignment

1st-Did you install it like this with a rubber bushing under the tower as well as one above it like shown in your pic's?
2nd-Take a deep breath and don't sweat the small stuff. You'll get it figured out when you have time.

The rubber isolator gets compressed by the top nut iirc. Not by the top hat bolts and nuts.
If you are missing the bottom rubber isolator, then you need to remove it. You can remove the top one though with a tiny 8mm open to hold the shaft and spin the top nut.
I've definitely removed and installed entire assemblies with LCA/UCA's still attached. It helps having a second pair of hands however. I'm 'closer' to you if you would like to drop on by sometime this week in the evening. I don't have an impact which would help put the assembly back together if you were going to take it apart. Send me an PM if interested.
