If I were you I'd be hoping it is totaled and just get a brand new truck. I wouldn't feel right driving it around after that amount damage, would always feel like something somewhere is wrong and could break at any point

If I were handling your claim and the initial estimate was over half of the value of the vehicle, I would make a business decision to go ahead and total it. A) Smart for my company because when supplemental estimates come in, it could push the repairs over the threshold and then we would have to pay you for the truck AND pay the shop for their work, and B) It's a brand new truck and I would rather make you happy by having you able to by another new truck as opposed to one with some pretty major repairs.

Of course, not all claim reps are as good as I am. Hahaha

On 1 hand we become like little kids waiting for Disneyland to open, don't we? On the other we do old man stuff like create Word docs with dealer questions of things to check before signing and 2 pages of custom settings that are referenced to the owners manual by subject and page number for the Entune package and prep all the boxes containing our upgrade items and the myriad of shit we want to transfer from the old truck into the new one. Or so I'm told anyway.

    Nothing yet....im a poor bastard.
I got home last night and found that my daughter washed my taco. I asked her why she cleaned off my dirt. Her response: the dirt was old....needs new dirt.

I had someone come up me this morning with their high beams on. I toggled my bed light a few times and they turned corrected their brightness.

    I like the bed light.

No, I'd have to put those in the combo third brake light/bed light. Jesus, those are bright. Do they screw up the camera at all? I'd think they'd reflect off the air.

I have a 2011 mitsubishi outlander I use as a work vehicle. When it was 6 months old with 17k miles on it my wife got t-boned in it. All air bags deployed. Initial quote was 8500. By the time the repairs were complete the bill was 16k. That was a vehicle that had a sticker price of 24k.....

I'm waiting for it to warm up a bit before going outside to install mine. Better find that good "how to" thread first.

I'll do a write up later this week when I can stop moving. But honestly they don't help or interfere with the back up camera.

I have a company vehicle, so my taco sits all week long. Haven't got to test the new rear led.
