Hey there's nothing wrong with a jeep as long as it's pre Chrysler and you drop in a small block ford or Chevy engine change the the tranny and replace or fix the frame put warn hubs and swap out both axles

I have to admit they engineered these jeeps well. Giving us techs a work bench for when we're working on'em!

 

just had 3 XJ's, sold my lifted 00 dd, sold my stock 01 F350 lariat crewcab 4x4 7.3 for all the $$$, then realized I needed a truck, where I work couldn't find nuttin, so I took to craigslist and bought the bitch-witch, and, it is whut it is.......................for now

I actually like the XJ and Wrangler .They make so many different lifts and after market stuff for them they can be built quite nicely for Offroad .My son had a 92xj and it was easy has hell to work on

 

My nephew had a XJ with 12inches of lift and that thing was a beast wheeling

 

I just hate how much you have to cut up to make them accept most lifts. Its ridiculous. You'd think Chrysler would make it easier for the aftermarket community.

 

My truck parts need to hurry up and get here...

 

I had a cj7 in the 80's , and 8 XJ's over the last 24 yrs I personally find them tough as nails, as I pretty much beat the shit outta most of em. that 4.0 is a freaking monster, hard as hell to kill

 

I like those 4.0 straight six's, they were great torquey motors. But these new jeep v6's suck.
