Deadpool

I plan on seeing it sometime this week hopefully. I haven't heard one negative review

Just FYI Deadpool is rated 14A in Canada lol.

There were 5 yo kids in our theater. I couldn't believe it. Definitely not kid approved and, right on the ticket screen, those people were told it contained graphic nudity, sex, and violence. People these days . FYI I would of taken anyone over 13 to it if they were my kid. Let's be honest. 10 minutes on the web is worse than Deadpool still.

My wife loved it. I thought it was funny though because last Summer, when the first trailers came out to drum up the green light on filming, she watched it with me and she was all "meh." We went and saw it on Valentines day and she nearly died laughing. She ended up downloading a few comics and reading up on the whole production as well because it was that good. She never did that for Avengers or any other super hero flick.

 

Go and see. It's easily the funniest super hero movie of all time. Perfect casting, perfect script (funny stories about that too), and perfect amount of CG.

On that note I'm not sure how many people know this but the movie nearly ran out of money filming. The studio did not want to spend any more than their rolled back filming budget due to the hard R they were going to get for that script in the states. Several scenes, including the final fight showdown and the highway scene, have more Ryan Reynolds improvising, swordplay, and hand to hand combat because of the budget cuts which actually made the movie even better I'm sure. My fear is that since Deadpool 2 is already green lit with a bigger budget is that some of the magic that made this movie will be gone in the next one. It's amazing what you can do with the right cast and limited funds versus unlimited funds...

 

They will hopefully realize that the improvising helped and let him do some. But absolutely go see! I'm seeing it again tonight. I wanted to go see it again immediately after leaving the theater on Sunday!

 

Saw it on Saturday with my wife... for our anniversary. FUN AS HELL! She loved it! Go see it in the theater. Do not take a kid, I would saw under 16, but that is just me.

Some theaters in Phoenix are treating it NC-17 and not letting anyone under 17 in, even with parents. Others are warning parents when they buy tickets that they should not bring kids.

 

Any time I see somebody complain about a movie being too graphic for kids and blah blah blah. Why the fuck did you bring you're kid to an R rated movie it got that for a reason. I guess people are saying "Oh I've seen R rated movies and they weren't that bad, this one is no different." Have they not seen Deadpool tell us about checking for testicular cancer??

Don't see the relevance, but man, she's hot! I watched Pirates last night and I literally think she's the hottest chick on the planet...minus the wife, of course

It's interesting to me that nobody bats an eye about horrific violence. But if there's a nipple and a little sex, people lose their minds about how the movie will ruin their children.
