Weighed the pros and cons of plasti dip, and decided worst case scenario it peals off. So I blacked out my badges, and rear bumper. Got rid of all the remaining chrome... :Dimage.jpg

But I finished after dark, and now I can't find it. :pout:image.jpg

Is it easy as it looks? I bought a can of plastidip but haven't gotten around to use it.

Ah, I thought I spied a small gap in a couple of places.

Monte is correct, If you don't have an ABS controller, there is room for it under the hood on the passenger side wheel well. I did have to move the MAF controller and the cruise control box slightly forward. But its a nice fit.

The front Toy-Taco badges are easy, they worked just like the YouTube videos. But the c-post sr5 and the tailgate are kind of a pia, they are tapered on the edges and the dip wants to pull off the letters during the pealing process. I had to go around each letter with an exacto knife, and it would be super easy to mess up your clear coat. I'd have gone Sierra Madre on my "stinking badges" if it weren't a 14 y.o. paint job. That said it was in the 50's here, maybe in warmer weather it would work better.

Nope. Just have a PA speaker I'd need to relocate lol

Dang haha. I was looking at mine I thought there was no way. Do you have an air locker? Is that why you have the manifold?

Does anybody know if the larger fuses are 32V or 58V? For example the 30a, 40a, and 50a J-Case. I think I found the 60a and 120a FLM ones.

Anyone else have an issue with their trucks trailer wiring blowing fuses?
My 99 never had this issue, but my 03 keeps blowing the fuses behind the rear seats that go to my trailer light wiring

Just got my 02 Tacoma back from the frame swap last night. They had it 6 days total. 5100s on all four corners (front set in the middle position). Drives like new. Couldn't be happier. Total cost out of pocket was $124. Thats for a new spare tier carrier and mounting the springs on new struts.

Changed the clock spring (spiral cable) on my 01 prerunner 227K. The air bag light was on and the horn stopped working. That took care of it. Not a difficult job. Need to be very careful with the connector pins. I bent one when hooking it back up and it was not easy getting in there with a needle nose to get it straightened out.

Looking at front bumpers for my 00 tacoma; was told that trail gear would be where to get the best bang for my buck. Just wondering if anyone knows of any pre-runner style bumpers cheaper than all the big name brand bumpers? This is one of the two bumpers trail gear offers for $500.00

They didn't get ya for a new tire carrier, did they? Mine was replaced on a recall in the Mid-Atlantic.
