Haven't messed much with new car wiring. How difficult is it to install (especially hook into wiring)?

This install does not require you to hook into any factory wiring. It does run to the battery. Install was incredibly easy with the detailed instructions you'll get from @mattgecko. The install is a little time consuming and would be helpful with an extra set of hands. I did it by myself in under 2 hours.

Returned home from my trip to the dealership service center to show them the liquid I obtained from my oil catch can and a service manager advised he was told by one of his techs that the watery mixture I took them (I forgot to add it smelled like gasoline) was normal. I was advised it was a small amount of gasoline and that I must not be driving for periods long enough for the engine to warm enough to "burn off" the unburned fuel being recirculated through the pcv valve. I personally think this is bunk.
I also explained I had not gotten over 17 mpg for an entire tank of fuel since I obtained the truck. That too, I was advised, "is normal" for a 4x4 truck so new. Funny how my '15 Taco was getting 18+ mpg per tank and this '16 Taco can't even muster a 17 mpg average for a tank. And that is with me driving the '16 WAY easier than my '15.
If ANYTHING mechanically weird occurs with this truck I will post it on here as soon as possible.

Looks like the estimate to fix was over 17000.

    They totaled it. :D

I guess it's smarter to wait until the bank is paid in full, by progressive and gap, before buying another truck...

But dammit man, I don't know how long that'll take and I'm ready right NOW!

    :)

    Couple of questions:

1-After the Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit, 17 inch TRD Pro wheels and KO2 275/70/17 I had a rub in the front that they fixed by shaving off some of the wheel well. I am still unable to mount Weathertech mudflaps do to the space. Is this typical? I see a lot of lifted Tacos without flaps. Is this the reason or just preference.

2-I have a remote start for those sub-zero Montana days. My remote start controller is nice and small and it opens/locks the doors. I wanna ditch the Toyota smart key because of the added bulk. Anyone know how to remove the RFID chip or whatever is in the enclosure that I need to start the car? I would love to convert it to a smaller remote.

3-I'm getting old and can't remember #3. I'll have to get back to you on that.

Please pardon the correction but I believe the correct terminology is Technical Service Bulletin

I will be printing this, and other 4x4 mpg postings, to take to the dealership to have them explain why my truck gets crap mileage.
