New Camelback Toyota Employee here to HELP

What's the point of a discount if the buyers and their friends have to go through extra effort for a shipping work-around, when there is no shipping cost difference for the dealership?

It's simpler, safer, and better for all to merely ship once direct from source to destination.

Anyone who has spent time overseas and had to go through a company's refusal to ship to an APO address knows the frustration. So many changes have been made since Desert Storm to make it easy to ship (except items restricted by customs) just so Americans abroad can receive packages.

Again, it's not like this is going to be an everyday occurrence - they may only get one or two requests a month. The shipping companies and the Post Office have made the instructions very clear. I just can't understand why a company would continue to hold to a "we don't ship to APOs" policy based on very outdated conditions.

Really???? Why you so mad bro? Parents not love you enough as a child? I added enough, I straight up admitted that I didn't offer to ship it, and I have the mans back @Dean724 on the whole issue. So don't know how I add nothing, but I do know that your smart little sarcastic comments add nothing. Time to let it go bro!

Alright, now that I've had a couple of days to find answers. Our shipping policy about not shipping to APO's, was put in place buy Toyota Corporate, not by Camelback Toyota. It is Toyota's policy not our company's. No disrespect to out service men and women overseas, but we simply can not take that chance. My only suggestion, which was stated earlier in this thread, is to find someone that will take delivery of your order, and then ship it overseas to you. As far as the discount, our website prices are a considerable amount lower then MSRP. Most of the time our Web customers get a better deal then what us employees would get. The added 3% discount, and potentially free shipping is an added bonus for Tacoma World members. This being said, I am and EMPLOYEE of Camelback Toyota, I can not change the rules. I may be able to bend them, a little, but I can not change them. I'm here to answer any questions you might have about a part/parts, part prices, ect. I'm not here to give away parts. We all have our jobs, this is mine. I figured that I'd get a little grief in this thread, but nothing like I did. Please pm me or email me (bbowman01@vtaig.com) if there is anything that i can help you with. And please be patient with me, as I have other duties here at Camelback Toyota. I may not get back to you right away, but I will get back to you. Mondays and Tuesdays are my busiest days.

I think this is the part that many do not realize. The 'List' price is what you'd pay at most other dealers if you just walked up to the counter and asked for that part.
