What is the point of the U-bolt flip? Is it just to protect the bolts from being damaged. Or is its purpose suspension related?

basically gets them out of the way like u stated. Im swapping out bump stops too and this will become the strike plate for them also.

websites say 7 3/4 but toytec said that would be long enough for a few thread into the nut

I'd worry about not having at least 2-3 threads past the nut for something like a u-bolt. If you don't have threads all the way through the nut, you're not getting all the strength of the nut for tension through the joint, not to mention how much faster the nut could get shaken off entirely.

Just having threads into the the nut is good enough for some spots (fender flare install, holding down a wire on a ring terminal), but for the joint that holds the rear axle onto your truck, that's not good enough IMO.

Where are you guys seeing your savings by going with HeadStrong?

I've been looking at their site for the past half hour and everything is $10-20 more vs. Toytec or Wheeler's.

Okay, well I've been considering a set of LR UCA's lately. I'll call around tomorrow and see what I can get for prices.

I have nothing against HeadStrong Offroad, I've never dealt with them. I was just wondering why some are so fond of them given their prices posted online.

I am not sure which products you are interested in so I am not sure how they compare but keep in mind ALL of our products include free shipping to the lower 48 States and quite a few include free shipping to ALL 50 States. If the out-the-door price is lower somewhere else just PM me and I can see what else I can do for you.
