I have a dumb question ... While waiting on my 100XR, I started wondering ... Do you wax and seal a cap exactly the same way you do a vehicle? (This will be the first cap I've ever owned)

In the warranty card for my ARE it says to wash it as you would wash the truck, but first wait 60 days before applying wax.

I wish I could track the build of my Leer! The wait is driving me crazy. It's like waiting for the truck all over again.

    Snugtop Rebel
New member here. I just got a SNUGTOP Rebel installed and the leading edge of the topper is higher than the trailing edge of the cab. Not by much but I wanted to get people's opinion on how much it might increase drag. It is however level or slightly lower than the top of the cab. What is more important it being level with the crown of the cab or the trailing edge? I already looked at the ARE thread on subject just want to see what other SNUGTOP, LEER owners might have to say. Thanks everybody. (Sorry if this is addressed somewhere else, there is so much info in the site. I am still ding triage.)

Hm. Mine is, what it is, and it is what it is. Though my truck is a Access cab, not a double cab. Might be an optical delusion, as the top of the cab is slightly rounded.
Drag, I assure you, it is negligible. You added rack components I see. That will create more drag though.

From the angle of the photo it looks far better than the ARE from that other thread. As forr Leer, ask me again in a couple of weeks. Just sitting here, waiting patiently.

Finalized my order last week. Was waiting until I had finally gotten rid of my factory tonneau. Had an ARE on order briefly a couple months back but cancelled because my first tonneau buyer backed out. Not a money issue, just that I wanted to be sure I had uncut rails when the canopy showed up.

I've been waiting two weeks so far for my Leer. Dealer says it's status is "built," but no shipping info. It's like waiting for the truck all over again!

Patience young grasshopper haha... Yea my dealer didn't have an estimated date of arrival until it was around a week out. Took 4 weeks! Longer than I waited for my truck! But it was worth it!

    Nice it's gonna look great!!!
Yea 4 weeks but I did originally have an ARE CX ordered till after a week they told me they couldn't put sliding windoors on my short bed unless I went with Leer so Xr it was.. And I'm glad after reading about ARE ordeals and I think the rear door is nicer too! So hopefully you will have yours soon!

I wanted the windoors for myself, but didn't get them. Had to have sliding windows for my dogs. I think I will be perfectly happy with the XR, though I will be thinking about the windoors forever.

The sliding windoors have about a quarter section that slides open and is screened. Maybe a little less area then the regular sliding Windows. But good for when my dog is in the back. And I've driven around town up to 60 mph with the windoor open with no movement from air speed (just looks a little funny) But yes I think you will be quite happy with your purchase!
