Yeah. I've got the best of both worlds for sure. And having a cheaper set of winter tires keeps miles off of my MTs as well. Picked up a craigslist set of 2nd gen TRDOR alloys for $150 and run P rated tires. Doesn't look as good, but I'm much safer. Just hoping my little 265/75s are still a viable option after I regear.

You should be able to start off in 2nd gear no problem.

Given how little driving I do above 65mph, I'm thinking I should be fine, but we'll cross that bridge when I get there. Might be trading up to a set of 33s winter tires. Hence my earlier comment about possibly going back to ATs and run one set, but with as much winter driving as I do, I'd certainly miss the dedicated set.

The biggest change was that every other outer tread wasn't a "dead end" rather it became a new channel for snow, slush, mud, dirt, etc to escape.

From 1994 to 2014 I ran only BFG ATs. I loved them :notsure: The only reason I bought the Goodyear Adventure ATs is because they just came out, had a smoking deal on them at Discount Tire and I liked the fact it came siped from the factory as well as had tread that help self clear vs the old BFG AT design.

Of course he didn't. When he said "if you want to drive like an ass" he was speaking in generalities. Not specifying the poster he was chatting with.

Old Brett is one of the better guys I've met.

Never had the pleasure of meeting him. Didn't mean to come across like that and most people who I haven't met in person make assumptions. So it's all good.

The trick with MTs and snow/ice is just putting a 7300 lb truck on them. 35 inches of rock hard Nittos, add snow/ice, and grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrippppppppp!

    Hehe, midsize problems.

Deadpool: Awesome movie. So many little nuggets of joy in that flick. Watch it carefully from start until they throw you out of the theater cause they turned the projector off.

The only issue I have with Old Brett is that he chews gum like he's having a seizure.

    Just bustin' your chops.

I feel for ya. I am one of the lucky ones. After years of smoking 1-2 packs a day I woke up one morning not in the mood for one. Said, eh... what the hell I go with it. Figured that'd last until I made a cup of coffee in 5 minutes. Almost 20 years later still haven't had one

I'm pretty sure I'll never go back to smoking again, although I did slip last weekend, first time in 9 years. Tasted horrible and felt like death. Other than that it was good.
The gum though, it's awesome. I can chew gum and drink beer at the same time, unlike walking and either of those.
