I have Magnaflow Cats (447185 & 447219) & Magnaflow 11225 14" Muffler but my rig is also s/c. If you want quiet, then I don't recommend the 14". I hear the 18" is quieter and I'll probably go to that one of these days. I'll be at the mod day if you're interested.

Looking for some advice on tires. I have ordered (and paid for) KM2's) which are not coming off national back order until 3/11/16. Do I wait or not? Yes, I got a killer deal on them at $217/tire and free shipping, and yes I got pizza cutters (255/85), which I still want.

    Thoughts?

Those are possibly my next tires. Love the Cooper ST's though. Going from an E rated to D rated tire changed the ride beneficially. Also the extra rubber. Going to preemptively squash the "double- up" comments.

Go with the Dick Cepek Extreme Country in that size. Supposed to be a good tire and has more siping than the KM2. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/dick-cepek-extreme-country.412867/

What is making you consider the move to MT from AT? All the MT's I see out there are E rated so you'd be going back to that stiffer ride right?

Thanks, I didn't know these came in that size. Also considering the Toyo's as they look like they have some nice sipping compared to the lack of sipping on the BFG. I have little experience with what would be a good tire for wheeling in NorCal, so attempt to set me straight if I'm not...

I honestly can't tell the difference between C and E tires, let alone D. I've had all 3 on the truck

Considering the extra weight of the camper. I'll figure it out when it's fully loaded. Plus 3-ply sidewalls vs. 2-ply ST's. I go alone often, with no spotter, and fuck up frequently. The 3-plys helped me out on many occasions. I would have them siped though. Since it's not my DD, traction is > longevity.
    Those look promising.

Maybe it was the extra rubber, but I think it was the softer sidewalls. The ride from the E rated BFG's & D rated ST's was significant on 5100's. Both running +/- 40 psi.

Edit: not discounting your experience- mine was different. Had D-rated BFG's on our 2005 4Runner. When it came time to replace them, BFG only had them in E's. Wife complained immediately. Maybe we're just a bunch of pussies...

I'm on an E tire now and am not too worried with my ride, plus I pull my trailer about every weekend. Does anyone have experience with the Maxxis Bighorn? Its the cheapest one it seems...

Went with the ST's because it was the lightest tire. Thought I would get better MPG's because of the reduced weight (55lbs. BFG's vs. 49lbs ST's) and lower freeway RPM's. Didn't do shit. 14.5 either way.

Yeah thats the biggest reason I hate living in an apartment. At my old house I had the Garage I could work in but here I don't have any space what so ever. I just normally take over one of my sisters houses for what ever "mod" or "project" I have going on but I still have to quite at a reasonable hour.
