Original Tacoma: 6" lift, air bags in the rear, 17x9.5 XD Series rims w/ 35" Cooper STT Pro tires. Body Armor rear bumper with swing arm tire mount, TRD Exhaust, URD True Cold Air intake, TRD Front Brakes, RIGID INDUSTRIES grill and LED bar installed in it, LED Rear Lights, TracRack rack system, tool box. Sold the truck. Bought 2016 ram 2500 Laramie diesel. (7/2016) Picked up 97 Tacoma 4x4 Extended Cab 3.4L. Building motor now. (8/2017)
Towing and driving it hard, I get as low as 9-10mpg.. Depends on the terrain, amount of hills, and the cargo trailer is what really kills the mpgs..

Added some more camo today. Messed up a little by the fan strength selector (hi) but other than that it came out pretty good.

A few audio upgrades, tinted windows, remote start because it f'n hot in Texas! 6in Fabtech DB lift, 17x9 Fuel Trophy wheels, 315/70/17 Duratracs,BAMF 80in sliders w/kickout, Prinsu cab rack w/30in Heretic light bar, custom bedside decals, custom hi-lift jack brackets, US Offroad front bumper w/winch, bed rack with RTT, CB, Short wave base station, Ultra gauge, color matched grille surround, an ungodly amount of recover gear, ARB fridge, hood struts, RotoPax, traction pads.
Nice! Looking real good Andrew
So this has been an ongoing battle in my head. I'm running a 6in DB lift with 17in wheels and 35's.

    Yes, I go off roading.
Yes, I travel on the interstate.
    Yes, I pull a trailer.

With all of these things that I do, I still have not seen the need to regear.

I average about 13.8 mpg, but if I was worried about fuel milage I would have bought a Prius.

I sit at 1950-2100 rpms @ 75mph. Granted I live in one of the flattest parts of Texas.

When I'm on the trails I have had ZERO issues with an obstacle that I've come across to this point.

I'm just not convinced that I need to spend the money to regear my truck. :notsure:

Usually I would bold the part of the comment I'm referring to but in this case :p

I needed more power to get over stuff. Steep incline + big rocks = more hamsters needed

Holy crap? I get 15 with 265's.. 13.8 is actually kind of impressive to me with 35's.

I've got 30" tires note (265/70/16) and getting 16.8 with winter gas. Used to get 19mpg in the summer.

I'm about to throw steel bumpers and a Winch on and then want 33's. LoL By the time you deck out a Taco you get Tundra mileage.

Same as me on all that. ^^^ I get about 13-14 mpg also so that's spot on. I won't regear either.
Some of these mall parking lot speed bumps are getting a bit steep but I put a call into the city on that shit. Hopefully they grade them down a few inches because there getting a bit out of hand..
Other than that.....I have same exact setup and don't feel the need to spend the extra $$$$ either.

Nice truck, but I'm surprised you had to remove the mudflaps and trim the plastic. Those are the exact same tires I am running and no modifications needed. Maybe the offset of your wheels is different?

It's probably a little better but I still haven't recalibrated my speedo :anonymous:
Lol on the mall crawler status. Don't forget to watch out for the heards of carts that seem to gather around our trucks.

Ordered a hood and bed led kit from Tacodane
Ordered a Blue Sea Fuse Panel holder from Pelfrybilt
Ordered a set of Husky Liner front and rear floor mats
Finally also ordered some LED bulbs for interior and a couple exterior lights.

Now I am working to figure out the Lift situation and such...
