Just a bunch of old crap
First time I've really taken a close look at all of their models and I'm impressed. Fast setups, light weights, and good ventilation. I see a credit card expense coming in my future.

The weights and prices are what impress me. 2.5 lb ish tent for less that 250 ish dollars. Or you can pay double to carry double from other companies... Ha

The ProTrail and MoTrail pack down to nothing too.

Selfishly I've been looking for a super light but effective backpacking solo tent that uses trekking poles, and I'm in love with the Notch. Double side entry, uses trekking poles instead of tent poles, lots of height, great head to foot ventilation, etc. etc. And under 2#. Sold.

The Stratospire for 2 people is the bomb. Just shy of 3#? I mean come on, you can't get any lighter than that.

Iirc, the ProTrail is only 26 oz. So 1 lb 10 oz or 1 5/8 lbs. What I'm saying is sub two pounds for like $250 or something like that ha.

i use a Six Moons designs Lunar Solo. 24oz..about $215. Used it on three trips last Summer that were solos. I'm a volunteer Wilderness Information Specialist in the Summers for the local USFS... when I carry a 2-man I use a Black Diamond single wall (Bibler design), about 4 lbs but free standing

Maybe, I get confused, too many forums, too old brain. My base weight varies widely with terrain and weather. I carry a rope in the early season and wear boots I can kick steps with. Late season, I ditch the rope and wear waterproof trail runners. Temps at my camps run 30-60F in the Summer. All-up weight is usually 22-32 lbs with 5-6 days of food. I could cut some weight on my pack, an Osprey Atmos 50, but then I'd still probably want that one for times when I had more climbing or rescue gear. Always trade-offs involved

Would you mind posting everything you pack? I'd like to get my gear weight down to that. I'm at 28lbs for a 1-3 night trip and I hate that. I said earlier my older tent is near 8lbs so that's a bunch of the weight but still.

Here you go. Again, not a perfect set-up, but very usable. Pack is "heavy" at 49oz, I have one thats 25oz, but it doesn't fit as well

Western Mtrg Highlite sleeping bag 17oz,
Osprey Atmos 50 pack 49 oz
Solo tent, 6 Moons Lunar, 24 oz
    Nemo short pad, 10 oz
    Snowpeak pot 5 oz
Caldera stove & windscreen 3 oz
Stove Alcohol, 5 days 5 oz
    Food, 5 days 125 oz
Water flasks & Sawyer filter 4 oz
    Water 32 oz
Patagonia Nano puff jacket 12 oz
    Patagonia Gi pants 9 oz
    Mammut rain pants 10 oz
Sea to Summit Poncho 8 oz
    OR Helium Jacket 7 oz

Total 320 oz or 20.0 lbs

Base wt (less food and water) 163 oz, 10.18 lbs

Obviously, if I were to spring for a new pack, I could save about a pound to a pound and half, but this one only has 2 seasons on it.

Jelly that you don't have to carry that monstrosity of a bear canister around.

Also there's a site, www.lighterpack.com, that helps input all your stuff and keeps it everything organized.

    back to bone stock.
Saying there's a lady selling eggs from a scooter in Vietnam is like saying there's some guy in the USA selling pieces of bread with cooked meat in between.

    Really?

And dried squid is okay. It's a flossing nightmare for me. It taste better than backpack food to me.

Tested out my new backpack this weekend. Works perfect for my needs and because I have a smaller frame it fits really well surprisingly. The rope carry, helmet carry and crampon pocket all worked great and kept everything organized.

I was in Ouray, CO at the Ice Climbing park. This was a little trail to the other side of the park but made for a good picture.

That's actually kind of cool. Looks like you'd still be able to store stuff in the bed. Just have to be careful it's not dirty

looks like it would be easy to set up/tear down....just have to remove whatever you have stored in the bed to sleep.

pinterest :anonymous: can't find any info on a manufacturer, etc. maybe it was a one off custom thingy
Bobby! @Cascadia Tents :angrygirl: you need to get working on a prototype!
