    Hi All-

I replaced the factory tonneau with a canopy and now have the cover for sale. Note that you will have to source the factory rails/mounts as appropriate from the dealer as my cap is already installed. The tonneau cover is in like-new condition as it is only 2 months old. Asking $250 for the cover and located in the Seattle, WA area.

I would consider shipping, but am guessing it will be very expensive. I'd suspect it weighs somewhere around 75 lbs.

Can the existing rails be used? Is this the cover that requires notches to be cut in the bed rails?

Yep - from the factory there are notches cut in the rails and pins that mount to the bed sides. I would imagine that the parts department at any decent dealership should be able to chase down what you need and provide a quote. If you wanted to cut the plastic in the rails yourself I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult with a dremel and a bit of skill... in which case you would require only the pins.

New rails are $300, and the mounting hardware is $250 from the dealer. (my dealer says none of the mounting hardware is in stock) YMMV

When the cover is fully closed are you able to open the section toward the back window only?

To open the cover you have to open the tailgate first, and then it folds in two sections towards the cab. The last section towards the cab does not fold up, but does have straps so that you can use the bed with the first two sections open.

@skiermatt2 Let me guess, you were tired of getting 15mpg and driving a Ford? I just bought a Tacoma yesterday haha. (its McCuskey)

To bad it's not for a long bed. I'd buy in a heart beat.

Toyota never made an OEM tri fold cover for the long bed.
