So I'm really thinking about ordering the Brute Force plate front bumper and a Smittybilt X20. Anyone have another bumper option they'd recommend? I don't care for tube or hybrid bumpers. I'm also trying to decide if I want hoops on it, or just a flat top. Then I need to decide if I want it black, or get it painted Inferno. So many choices!

Well... Adjuster said damage only came out to $2000... Cut original quote by $3000 claiming it is used as a "toy" and didn't claim the tire or wheel as damage. And quoted everything with autozone parts for repair. Also told me that it can no longer be full coverage and that I will have to drop it to liability... I asked why it wasn't being replaced with oem parts and they said since it's an older vehicle they don't have to. Needless to be said I'm dropping them after this.

The whole idea of auto insurance infuriates me. You pay them again and again and again for insurance that you hopefully never and usually don't need. Then, one day, you have an accident and actually need your insurance so you have to turn around and pay your deductible. Next, the insurance company punishes you for using the coverage you've been paying for all this time by raising your rates, dropping you, or in your case making you drop to liability. WTF? /rant.

I agree 100% with this. When my 350z got totaled out (hit a manhole and bent the frame, fucking construction with no markers) the cop wrote it up as property damage and not a wreck so that my insurance wouldn't go up, makes sense, right? No. Insurance barely cut me a check for what the car was worth, sold it before I had my money, gave me no option to buy it back, and then got rid of all my discounts and jacked my rates sky high. My insurance went up ~$30 a month from a 350z 6spd manual sports coupe to a fucking 4dr 2wd truck.

I've paid my own insurance since I bought my first car when I was 15. I've never used it once in almost 14 years. I got State Farm and hear stories all the time of them dropping you if you ever use it. I believe this because I use to have renters insurance at my old house with a $15k limit. The house was broke into and I claimed $1100 worth of stuff/damages. After a few weeks of them interrogating me like I was the one who stole my own things, they wrote me a check for $1100 along with a letter stating they were dropping my renters insurance due to "exceeding my limit." When I called, all the girl could tell me was that it was cooperates decision and she doesn't have an explanation. Makes me want to buy a $200k Ferrari and total it a week later just to make them give me all my money back. When/if I ever use my auto insurance, I'm gonna be sure to fuck some shit up.

I didn't know they could claim your vehicle as a toy. I thought you had to do that? And I'm also pretty sure that it's required by law to replace oem parts with oem parts. At least it is here in TN. Unless you specifically signed something saying you would allow that to happen.

Of coarse you are asking for opinions so everyone will have their own and probably be bias to their personal experience, having said that, I have seen numerous different company's products in person and of all them, Brute Force Fab has been the most consistent as far as build quality goes. Relentless seems to make quality stuff, BAMF seems to make quality stuff, Demello seems to cheap out in certain areas and makes decent stuff, Trail Gear cheaps out in areas but build quality seems decent, SOS makes shit products, Bud Built seems to make quality stuff, pelfreybilt (however its spelled) seems to make quality stuff, All pro seems to cheap out in areas but their build quality is on par with other companies who cheap out, Grove St. Motorsports makes the best quality products in the world (this is a fact ;) )........ I'm missing other companys I've seen multiple examples of their work but those are just off the top of my head.

Of coarse all opinions from me so take that for what it's worth.

I asked for them to show me that it's ok to replace oem parts with "shit" parts, we will see what they do.
