Should've seen Tessa's face when I mentioned custom build. Lol

I'm open to try whatever this time. I only ended up with the Kona because it was a good deal, and I though it was cool. I really liked my giant hr 29er though, I probably should have kept it instead.

Haha! Well when I did mine it cost me just a bit more than if I would have bought it as a from the dealer xc205. The key is not going overboard...

Just accepted a position to work with the toads again. I'll be the only one so I can safely say I wont have any time this summer until August.

I now have to get my truck running by April or buy a beater.

Little slow on this but I have 4.56 and they work well with my 33's and all the weight I have. Feels stock, good accelerations, decent top end still as well.

Doubt it, didn't ask. Its not hard work so $12 an hour is fair. Most tech positions like this only pay $10. In fact, the people I work with will get $10 and be required to work more hours/harder work.

Its also grant funded so not much wiggle room. That said. I will get more hours and work a longer duration. So that helps.

She responded with a solid "go fuck yourself". She isn't the pressuring force on this though. I could use the extra coin for moab/getting my truck running.

Got a beater you want to sell that will get me through a month or so?

Cool. The my gig is offering me 12 an hour. Plus housing. Not sure that's food but still. Not bad. Full time I believe.

12 + housing is really nice for a temp job/internship. I doubt it covers food but that would be a heck of a deal if it did.

Mk, I would say $3K is my limit for a fun beater truck that would get me around town until I get my truck in top shape. I would go as far as 4k for something that holds value or if worth it (running good with exceptional mods). Older yota's preferred (not sure how I am still a fan boy, but I am). I am willing to look at anything. I am ok with minor problems...obviously I can't have a truck that isn't currently DD'able (blown headgasket, etc). But if its a small leak or something that will let me drive it for a bit, whatever. Just need transportation to work. Fixing it is the fun part . Plus I have all the tools now.

I think I remember seeing some older pickups and 4runner on the wyoming craigslist the other night. I think a 90s 4runner for like 2k. Seemed in good shape.

    Maybe try there as well?

I am looking on craigslist. There was a land cruiser for $500 that was running rich...sold in less than 24 hours.

Yeah, I look at foco and Denver a lot as there is always something sweet popping up. Kicking myself for passing up the land cruiser a few months back

That post excited me and depressed me at the same time. Found a beat to hell LC for 2k. A built 81 yota for $3200 with a potential buyer. Guess I might be making a trip to denver on sunday if my truck isn't moving by saturday night.
