My wife has had the same luck when it comes to work. She had two places of work go under and she is very loyal and stayed to the end. She is currently at Toyota and loves it. She has been there for a decade now and will be there for life I'm sure. I used to have an awesome teamsters job making $60k a yr. 10 yrs ago and was laid off because they built a new building that was 50% Automated and lost a huge cleint at the same time over 150 workers laid off. Honestly it was the best thing that happened to me. I got into an apprenticeship as a commercial electrician. I wish you luck with the job search but it may lead to better things.

I am aware. My truck was more of a dream car that I'll keep forever. I bought it to off road, but not necessarily as its sole purpose.

Got the rack put on. Going to have to get new weather stripping and re-do it, but love the way it looks. Going to make moving our kayaks a breeze!

Yeah I need to update my LinkedIn and start checking out other firms. I've seen jobs available through it in the past and they seemed promising.

He is and I know he will try to keep me as long as possible but I'm not going to bet my families livelihood on it (1 income household). I've been due for a raise for two years and with everything going on it won't happen soon. Rather find a job with some potential for upward movement.

I'd love to work for Toyota and might have a connection. I'm not a huge fan of the work I do so be a good time to try something else out.

I enjoyed my employment with Toyota. Sadly the management changed and it became "one of those" dealerships. So I bounced.

    Nice...

How did you change your username... Or did the mods change it for you...
PM'd the mods to no avail. Username is "Scoutsider" on expo, cuz I had a Scout when signing up in 2007. Didn't make sense here and I picked a lame username. I'm planning to join a few more forums (Wander the West & American Adventurist) and want to keep things consistent.
