Drove past there the other day. Could pull in to Tinseltown parking lot from the access road, then make immediate left toward the restaurant and park right up front so everyone can see how bad ass we are.

kidlette's birthday party was rescheduled for Saturday. It's at Blazer Tag if any of y'all want to come and crash it. No pizza, though. That's for the kids only.

 

The one on Ben White that used to be a movie theater?

 

yep. is that what it was, a movie theater? couldn't remember. when i was little, that building meant "close to aunt's house!"

 

Back when Bergstrom was still an Air Force Base and Highway 71 was still Ben White Blvd, that was a dollar theater. It was a good place to go on inexpensive dates, especially because we could then zip over to Lamar and hit some of the restaurants. That whole area has changed sooooo much.

So, what time is all this happening? I'm assuming you won't be making lunch?

Back when Carswell was a SAC base I used to park on the side of Loop 820 and watch the B-52's take off. Almost felt like you could reach up and touch them.

 

I'd like to but me and the wife are heading down to the convention center for the RV expo (it opens at noon).

So whos up for Hidden Falls on the 19th? Think we should meet somewhere for breakfast pretty early. Maybe in Cedar Park or Leander. There's a JJs not 10 miles from 183 we could meet at, maybe 9AM? Then head out from there

I'm in, JJ's in Lago Vista is good for me. 9am seems late, maybe 730-8am, eat, then roll. I'm an early riser. And if you haven't had your CB tuned by then, hidden falls is a great place to tune it, nice high n open area.
