I actually grew up in Boone and moved down to Lenoir after high school. The only thing I know of up that way is the Richlands. There use to be a fire tower trail you could go up off king street in Boone but I think the power company fenced it off a while back.

I just made my TacomaWorld account so I'm still just trying to figure this stuff out but I live in Hendersonville. Oh I and have a rear bumper and hitch both bumper has 2 holes in it and the hitch receiver is pretty rusted and the hitch itself is rusted into it you may could get it out with PB Blaster and Thor hammer. I can get you some pics if you don't care about all the stuff wrong with it, I'm just trying to get it out of the garage other wise my dad will probably just take it to the dump.

Thanks @BWSecretQ. Just trying to figure out how to work everything at the moment, this is a whole different beast than the Facebook pages. How far are you guys from Hendersonville/Asheville? I moved up here last year from NE Georgia so this is like big city compared to where I'm from. Always looking for people to explore some trails with!

I live in Boonville, which is in Yadkin County. So, is about 2 1/2 hours from Asheville. But my wife and I go to Asheville (Weaverville) quite often to visit friends from college. Boonville is a small, 1 stop light town, so I understand about the move to "big city" living, lol.

I'm from Elberton, Georgia known as the Granite Capitol of the world, if you have granite counter tops there's a good chance it came out of a quarry from my hometown. The main thing I like about it up here is all the trout streams.

Oh yea, it's beautiful up through there. I lived in Boone for about 7 years and loved it! I'd take the mountains over the sandy beaches any day.

welcome to TW @Avery Worley. I actually found a hitch for my truck the other day and put it on. Just have to install the wiring harness now. I'm in Lenoir about 1 1/2 hours away from Hendersonville.

Wilkesboro, NC here...actually Miller's Creek to be exact. I go to Boone a lot. Originally from Surry County. Nice to see a Western NC group.

What's up @1stgenpre? I'm squeezed on the edge of both Wilkes and Surry in Yadkin County.

I'm not going tomorrow night, but I try to go to Legends sometimes, depending on who's playing.

@BWSecretQ I have lots of family in yadkin (jonesville). Lived in Yadkin for about a year before moving to millers creek. I grew up in State Road...it kinda straddles Surry and wilkes.

I'm thinking about throwing a set of the 17'' FJ steel wheels on my truck with a 255/75/17 AT tire. Decisions....
